Freshy Fresh Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Good coffee, decent bagels, clean establishment, and accurate, but borderline rude service.

It wasn't busy when we arrived, so I was able to place my order within just a few minutes. I was greeted with impatient eyes that matched her discouraging frown. Now, I understand that people have bad days, but in the service industry you have to do your best not to reflect those feelings to your customers. I was tempted to just excuse myself and take my family elsewhere, but I decided to stay.

I ordered one egg everything bagel with regular cream cheese, and then asked what other flavors were available. Her frown deepened and she snapped with a stiff point from her pen below the counter to her left, "They're right there!" I half expected a wooden ruler to come crashing down on my head for asking such a ridiculous question. I decided that a cranberry walnut would go well with a cinnamon raisin bagel and added that to my order.

"Drinks?!", she snapped. I replied, "two coffees, one small and the other....". I peered over to where the cups were stacked to judge a larger size. A fraction of a second later, "Size?!". I replied with medium. I then asked the kids if they wanted iced-tea or lemonade. My oldest said iced-tea, and my youngest paused before responding with lemonade. The woman, too impatient to wait for a response, walked off without hearing the rest of my order.

The Coffee station is a do-it-yourself, which is a plus since the only person that can make your coffee correctly is yourself. The station was very clean, but both the milk and half and half were empty. The coffee was hot and tastes great 😊.

Our order was ready before I could finish making the second cup if coffee. We finished our transaction with minimal verbal correspondence.

The bagels were good with an abundance of cream cheese, but definitely didn't seem "freshy fresh" as the name suggests. The Egg everything bagel was pieced back together with what appears to be two separate tops since each piece is a different shade, probably due to slightly different baking times. It was still good.

Ive been coming here for YEARS. They are usually amazing! Ive yelped them many times. I called today, ordered two egg sandwiches and the girl actually said it will ready in two minutes so i raced there. I stood there for 20 min and got the wrong sandwiches with NOT well done bacon. If you’re going to charge $18 for two egg sandwiches, its not a lot to ask you to make it right. So annoying. No pepper, no cheese, mushy bacon. Disappointing. Was going to call but they prob dont care enough. I wouldve been there 45 min if i didnt call ahead. Stood there with a police officer in full uniform. He was there before i got there and after i left. Major cluster today. Probably going to try a different place. When you don’t have a membership to DoorDash or Uber eats usually something that cost $10 easily cost 20 or maybe more. It wasn’t on the menu so I put it in the notes. Poppy bagel, veggie cream cheese, lox, onion, lettuce, tomato. I called up just to make sure that they got all that they said they would have to charge me a little bit more. I said no problem. The whole thing came to $16 which to me if you’re familiar with Uber eats or DoorDash that’s a really really really good deal. It came very quickly. Everything was fresh. Everything was good.
