Every time I roll the dice and order from here, I am reminded of why I stay away. After waiting the requested 30 minutes, I went to grab order. I even forgot my wallet, and had to come back. After paying, I stood there waiting while not a single person working behind the counter was showing any urgency to complete orders. The gentleman making the pizzas was engaged in casual conversation, the young man making pizzas appeared overwhelmed but no one was helping. When the oven opened, and I saw both of what turned out to be my pizzas were barely cooked. After about 12 minutes, a young man realized I'd been there for a while and followed up. He worked diligently to put my order together, and I left.Tonight, however, the issue wasn't the food- it was what I saw in 15 minutes I waited for my order.
I saw MULTIPLE staff members either wearing masks improperly or as chin straps while standing over active fryers and other people's food, and these weren't momentary or brief instances of staff lowering the mask to catch a breather. I've worked in fast food, and can appreciate how hot it gets on days like today- I can't even begin to imagine how much more difficult is to work over a fryer with one of those masks on. If that were the case, I wouldn't complain- but it was the entire time I was in the restaurant. The only 3 staff who were wearing masks properly were the young woman at the register, the young man working the pizza oven, and the young man who gave me my order. When Staff did adjust their masks (still worn incorrectly), they did so while touching their faces with gloves on. Not a single one changed their gloves after doing so- they simply went back to work. That's unacceptable even when there isn't a global health crisis, and a health code violation. In the current climate, I found it extremely unsettling. If there was a manager in the building, he/she was doing absolutely nothing to uphold/enforce any sort of safety standards, and was completely content to allow the restaurant to run at half pace. I can handle uncooked pizza, cold food, or long waits for delivery. What I can't accept is the complete lack of concern or awareness for the health and safety of not only other staff members, but your customers. I will not be patronizing this business moving forward.
And no, despite paying over $50 for my order, we...
Read moreWell I tried to order $70 worth of food and after being told I could not leave the tip for the driver with my credit card, that I just gave to the young man who took my order. Mind you I asked him initially before I placed order and he said I could, and then after I already gave him my card info he then said he couldn't add the tip. I told him I have no cash for a tip so I then asked to pick up the order instead. The guy did not know how to change it from deliver to pick up and said he would get manager. The manager then did not even let me explain what happened and got very snippy telling me to hold on so he could get the details, which I was politely trying to tell him. He then said he doesn't want to play around with the money and will just give me a free 2 liter instead of refunding the delivery charge. I said I did not want a 2 liter I just want to cancel the delivery and switch to pick up, had he let me explain why he would have understood I had no cash for the tip! So then I said I just want to cancel the order at this point. The manager then asked me why 3 times and then hung up on me without even confirming he refunded my money. My husband then called back to tell him he wants his money back and confirmation or he is calling the police. The manager then hung up on my husband. We did speak to Jasmine and the store owner about this Harry and they were both very apologetic and offered us free food, which I politely refused bc at this point I wouldn't trust the food. It's just a Shame as I did enjoy their food but I will never go here again after...
Read moreJust moved to canandaigua a few months ago. It's 6pm on a Friday night. I want a couple fish fry's and some appetizers. Call and place my order. For one, I wanted bacon cheddar fries. They apparently no longer offer them but on the website it clearly shows they do. So I settle for mozz sticks and fried pickles. They tell me the total and I proceed to pay with a card over the phone. After that, they finally tell me it'll be an hour to an hour and ten minute wait for delivery. What in the actual f*. I should have cancelled my order right then and there. But I want a fish fry. And I also support the business and do a profession in which I'm at the Brighton location. Read many reviews stating delivery times were unreal. If it's a known problem, not sure why you wouldn't put on more staff for high demand times. (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays). It needs to be fixed. And if my food is cold when I get it, I'll write another review. Could have ordered from any other joint in this town and gotten my food in half the time. I've done it before. Have never had an hour+ wait time. It's ridiculous even for a Friday night. Hire more freaking staff. Not pleased. Just hoping the food is good and not cold. Not high hopes at this point.
Edit. Even with an hour plus wait, the food was still warm. Still tipped the driver 30 percent. Not his fault on the wait. But still highly recommend upping staff for Friday through Sunday. Shouldn't have to wait over an hour...
