My wife and I tried this place for the first time on a Friday night. The place was busy, however, that didn't affect service at all. A band was playing popular pop/rock tunes in the back of this spacious restaurant with seating inside and out. It was a gorgeous day but we had already been in the sun for most of it so we order pizza and desserts to go while sitting at the bar. The regular bartender had called out so everyone chipped in to help make drinks for the people sitting at the bar and the tables. It was awesome to see the entire team work so well together and hear the positivity of the staff as they worked to service guests. The food was as good, if not better, than our normal Italian place, and was more affordable. I have complained over and over about how only higher end restaurants with a pastry chef are the only ones with decent homemade desserts....UNTIL NOW. These were absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend that monster Carrot Cake!
As a person that has been in the service industry all my life I have three quick shout outs for this place: 1-Great positivity and teamwork with the all the staff at all levels. This place runs like a top. 2-The lady at the "to-Go" dessert area that has worked there for 20 years is the friendliest, most honest and warm person in any place we have been in recent years, and although she was swamped, she never stopped smiling. 3-I was fortunate to meet the owner who was friendly, engaging, and actually helping his staff and guests the entire time we were there. He is one of the main reasons this place runs the way it does.
It was a pleasure to have visited and I can't wait to go...
Read moreWent there recently for a birthday party and experienced the worst customer service. The waitress has a problem with my 14 month old daughter from the moment she interacted with out table. She didn't offer her a children's menu option as I heard her offer every other child at the party. She told me I could give her some of my pasta. When I insisted she supposedly let me put in an order of chicken fingers for her. During this exchange she also repeatedly told me my child had to go sit somewhere else. She couldn't sit next to me at the table where her coworkers placed the highchair. When the food finally was served. Every child in the room got food except my daughter. Then she looked at me, said "oh. She wanted something too ..." and then ran away. Ten minutes later my child still had no food. So I went to ask. She then told me that she gave my daughter's food away to another child who didn't order so much child was just going to have to wait. No apology. No we'll ruch the order. Then the workers refused to get a manager. I waited an additional ten minutes. When her food w was s ready they then got their manager and pretended I was overratcing becuae my child had food. Do not go there. We were there for a child's birthday party snf they treated my child terribly. Places that dislike children should not host children's birthday parties. I feel terrible becuae I know my friend spent a lot of time and money on this party. She would be so embarrassed if she knew this pace treated her guests...
Read moreMy family and I went today for dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday and like always the food was delicious! However, at the end of our meal, I asked for a box for the pizza I ordered and when I opened the box to place my pizza in, there was a cockroach crawling around in the box. Not to create a scene or alarm my family, I quickly closed the box and walked the box to the waitress where I informed her of what occurred. She quickly opened the box and informed whom I believe was the manager or owner and he asked me what happened, I explained, and he “apologized” and I walked back to my table. The waitress quickly brought me a new box and offered to see if something can be done about the experience. (I was not looking for any handouts but she offered so wanted to see what was going to be done.) The check was then brought to me and I noticed nothing was adjusted on the bill (which was fine by me) I then gave my card to pay the bill and when the waitress returned with my receipt, I casually asked about “something” being done, and she responded by saying that according to management, the restaurant just had renovations and this is not normal. I would hope that roaches in and around food is not normal. I understand that things happen but understanding “great customer service” and the importance of repeat customers, I would have thought someone other than the waitress would have come to the table as we were leaving to apologize with sincerity for the...
