Cacciatori Pizza & Pasta -Mahopac — Restaurant in Town of Carmel

On this hot July Wed. evening, I debated ordering out because the price of everything has grown sky high. It’s worse when mistakes are made, staff is curt/rude, & delivery slow. But I gave it a shot; it’s just too hot. So, I ordered a grilled shrimp salad. *To my very pleasant surprise (& I’m my own worst customer w/high standards), the staff were very cordial & polite; appreciative of my custom. The delivery man was even early w/my dinner. But the piece de resistance was the salad itself! It was generous! There were all kinds of fresh crispy salad ingredients, even slice black olives! The shrimp, “ Star” of the meal was grilled (imo)to perfection, and there was a generous portion of them! * Although prices everywhere have gone up, it is, indeed, refreshing that when one places an order, it is what one expects/imagines, & more! I sincerely hope manager, Ivan, & his team continue to deliver such polite, thorough, & accurate service! I wish Cacciatori’s all the best in the future. Called in and the guy on the phone was having trouble with his computer, so that took 10+ minutes. Ordered three items it took over an hour until I called back asking whats taking so long, was told it was on pick up(why would i give my address if i was going to pick it up?), finally got to my house after an hour and a half, food was cold. On top of that I wanted to pay with card but still had to pay with cash cause for whatever reason delivery boy didn't get a paper to sign or something.

And the final straw was calling in another order ravioli which might i add is 10 dollars for maybe fiveish ravioli, and a MUSHROOM and pineapple pizza but only getting pineapple. Everytime I call my order is wrong or something is wrong on their end making me wait a stupid long time. I'm done giving this place a chance. Im going to call Paolos pizza from now on.

I have been going to Cacciatori's since I was a little kid. I have never had a problem with them until the last few months, since the restaurant has come under new management. The first time I ordered they gave me the wrong size pizza, I ordered a large and was given a small. The second time they made the same mistake however I caught it before leaving. Yesterday I called to order two slices and an Antipasta salad. I was told to wait a half hour. When I walked in my pizza was done but the salad was forgotten about. I waited another 15 minutes for the salad. By the time that I got home the pizza was now cold, and opening the salad there was boiled ham wrapped with salami and american cheese. Not cut, full cutlet slices. I was so angry and disappointing, especially since this is a 13 dollar salad. I will not be going back...
