Kwality Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Town of Carmel

The ice cream was not bad, but the "home-made" claims were proven to be false. The manager simply buys "base" flavors and has workers mix in the other ingredients, such as chocolate chips and fruit syrup. There are vermin in the building, some of which are visible dead on the floor (poison traps are put out for the creatures, which are presumably rats). The manager will get angry at the workers for even the smallest mistake when preparing ice cream, to the point of being abusive. He will yell at workers even while they are cleaning up messes that he made. The name of the store itself was stolen from a different franchise and manager lies about the ingredients in the ice cream he synthesizes. There has even been a report of a piece of metal inside...

One of those hot summer nights where it hits you...I want ice cream. Not even thinking what time it was I headed down to Kwality to cure the craving. I even thought to call my neighbors and see what they wanted.i headed down with my 4 orders and walked in.thats when it all started...the great customer service you appreciate from a local business. It was 9 o'clock...what person does that at 9pm walks in an orders 4 custom orders? Did not matter to the amazing girl behind the counter. She enthusiastically began to complete every order in awesome time...smiling. N'uff said bout tonight...amazing experience much needed to see.oh yeah forgot to mention...they did not let me leave until I tried a small cup of moosetrack..picked by the owner. That's what...

My daughter has been an employee there and I’m shocked and saddened by the people who say the owner is rude or mean to his employees. He teaches these kids how to actually WORK.. without attitudes, or cellphones or being rude to customers. He is also meticulous in his cleaning standards and his employees are expected to keep up with that when it is slow instead of “goofing off”. My daughter was very shy when she started and Vjay, the owner, helped her to come out of her shell. She respects him and likes him very much. She has learned to be hard working, respectful and to put the customer first by a boss who does the same. PLUS.. the ice cream is top quality, delicious and very reasonably priced.
