We stopped here one evening for dinner/a snack because that online menu looked really great and they had outdoor seating so we could bring our pup with us. It was raining but luckily they had a tent and a heater inside so it wasn’t terribly cold. The heater wasn’t on when we first got inside though but the guy made sure to go out and get it working for us which was super friendly. I got the forbidden fruit to drink and it was delicious! Probably one of my favorite drinks I’ve gotten. My bf got the New York nectar and said it was really good. He took the branch and bine home as a 4 pack and said it just tasted like a tree, so not his favorite. We got the Bavarian pretzel and fries to snack on and both were good! I was super disappointed because the menu was different online vs there so I was really excited for the chorizo queso but it wasn’t available. Overall it was a good experience, I just hope they update their online menus!

Subversive is brewing some of the most exquisite beer in the greater Hudson Valley/Catskills. They are true artisans who care deeply and passionately about what they do. The culture/environment they’ve cultivated at the brewery is infectious my friends and I had a delightful day spending time at the brewery! The brewery is dog/family friendly and the kitchen staff is serving up some incredible grub (for my money one of the best burgers in all of New York including NYC) for you to nosh on whilst sipping on their amazing brews. I will definitely be back again! On side note the staff was friendly, courteous, attentive and accommodated all the needs of the crew I visited with. The merch they had for sale was awesome as, I grabbed a sweet corduroy hat that I receive compliments about constantly! Do yourself a favor and go check this spot out asap especially on gorgeous day you won’t regret it!

A must go if you’re in the area/ driving by (it’s really 5 minutes off of the exit!) All the drafts looked good so I got the esoteric flight and it did not disappoint. Really tasty flavors, mouth feel, and freshness. Specifically the Dark harvest (some coffee), nimble wit (refreshing citrusy beer) and forbidden fruit (sour beer- from the gods? Really good if you like sours) We had a diverse group of pallets and they did not disappoint. Seriously have the smash burger. Classic and delicious. Logistics, like I said it’s right off the exit, there is parking, and the outdoor. Seating is generous! (Some umbrellas, a big tent). If you aren’t adding a stop to your gps yet: all their stuff is sourced locally so you’re not only treating yourself going here you’re really helping the community/NY. Cheers 🍻

Written from my toilet because the food messed my stomach up: Where do I begin? A cold indifference from the bartender dude attempting to turn us away upon greeting us because the kitchen is closing "soon." A resistance from the same dude when asked if we could hold the cheese on one sandwich and hold he garlic aioli sauce on the other. Chicken Parm was more like a chicken patty fried in a fryer way too long in old oil making it dry and greasy at the same time; didn't know that was even possible Cheap dry rolls Grilled chicken was definitely a frozen patty not from actual chicken breast; it was grilled too long and became dry and rubbery- my little 9 year old son was hungry but said: "this food turned my stomach" and didn't eat. Upon asking OUR waitress for a side of mayo, she forgot to ever bring it and proceeded to chit chat on a personal level with the bartender dude; when asked a second time for the side of mayo she sent someone else to bring it to us and ran away. The French fries were totally mushy from being undercooked; who likes white, mushy fries? They served me salad on paper in a basket; who eats salad with dressing on top of paper?

One of the worst dining experiences in my entire life.

One star is too generous.

Dined in, Sunday evening Approx...
