Hall Pass tavern — Restaurant in Town of Champion

So, if you're in Carthage and thinking about having a bite to eat, don't waste your time with Hall Pass Tavern.

Hubby ordered a Cesar salad with steak and dressing on the side. He got chopped up lettuce, nine croutons, and sprinkle of Parmesan drowned in vinaigrette.

Contacted Door Dash to resolve, Door Dash says talk to the driver. Driver says I just pick stuff up. Called Hall Pass directly. "Oh, we're out of steak." Cool, shouldn't have charged for it then. And the rest of the order is obviously wrong. "You'll have to go through Door Dash."

Got $8 back on $18 order that was all wrong and ended up in the trash since it wasn't edible soaked in vinaigrette. Definitely not ordering from...

Giving it two stars for the time being as our first visit wasn't that good. Quick summary: Waited over 70 minutes for our food after the order was placed, only saw our waitress 3 times, I asked how many ounces were their steaks and the response got was "I don't know", ask for a steak to be cooked medium and received it very well done.

Granted they were busy and seemed short staffed but we went based on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately our visit was just not very good. Would have preferred more updates from the staff about being behind on orders and actually knowing the menu so questions like mine can be answered. Hesitant to try again but establishments can...

Me and my wife just bought a house in the area, me being born and raised in northern MA/ southern NH food was lacking very much so in the area, then I stumbled upon this gem. Got a pepperoni pizza and some fries. Amazing food, the pizza uses the cupped pepperoni like back home in New England, the food is quality and reminded me of home. The owner and his daughter were absolutely amazing people, on point with service but also seemed to treat all their customers like regulars even the new ones like me. Phenomenal...
