Checkers — Restaurant in Town of Cheektowaga

Abysmally slow service. Since there's no indoor seating area, there's no way I'd go when it gets cold out.

They have. $0.69 cheeseburger special that we couldn't pass up. They were ok. I took them home and we reheated them for dinner, so they would have been better fresh.

They have to speed it up though. The drive through gets priority, but it wasn't really busy. I must have waited over 20 minutes for my order as was everyone else.

It's cheap food and fills your stomach, but that's about all you can say about it.

....one year later I So about a year later and the service is no better. But it still found a way to get worse.

We had time so we thought we would give it another try. The wait was still just as bad but everything else got much worse. My wife and I split the order. I first ordered the fries and drinks and the fries were actually hot.

It didn't make up for the pig sty of an eating area. The floor and every single table hadn't cleaned in forever. My daughter went and got a handful of napkins and I went in the bathroom to get them wet do we could scrub the table and benches. Even just walking across the floor was gross. They don't care. The whole time we were there not a single person came out to clean. A manager did come out, but that was just for a smoke break. When he was done he just walked back in and went back to work without washing his hands as did every other person going for their smoke break. Definitely against Health Department regulations.

So back to our order. Our fries started out hot until my wife finally go our burgers. They were stone cold by then, as were our burgers even though it was at best 15 seconds from when they gave them to her and she reached the table. Why can't they fix this?

But possibly worse than anything up till now was that they ripped us off. Better yet, how many people do they rip off? I suspect on their special day many people pick up a number of burgers and take them home, which is what we did. We bought extras so during exam week at school we had an easy meal or two for the kids. Or so we thought.

We should have had a couple extra for everyone to have for lunch. The trouble is, we never got them. My daughter got them out to make lunch for her and her brother and noticed they shorted us by a whole bunch.

I am so done...

WORST SERVICE EVER !!!!!! Wednesday February 8, 2017 3:28 pm. I stood outside in 33 degree temperature waiting at the window with my 11 year son & husband. Three employees, two women, one male taking care of all the drive thru customers while we and another man waited at the window. The employees even looked at us and still DID NOT MAKE ANY ATTEMPT TO HELP US. We walked away and that was when one of the employees FINALLY came to the window calling out to us. My husband and son settled for McDonald's. I can't stand McDonalds! I refused to settle for something I did not want or had the taste for. I was looking forward to trying their new Bacon Cheddar Crisp sandwich. Instead I got nothing because three employees, who expect to get about half to three quarters of what I make as a Registered Nurse. I am not one to complain but I have gotten sick of this generation being so lazy and expecting to get paid more than half of minimum wage to do a job my 11 year could do five times better. First time at checkers and went to the walden ave location. Waited a half hour for my food and when i went to the counter to ask what was taking so long i was ignored until one of the cooks told me my order was almost ready while he was chewing on a dental floss pick and taking it in and out of his mouth with his gloved hand (which defeats the purpose of gloves for sanitation). Anyhoo...I get the order and not only is it a sloppy mess all thrown together like it was assembled by a toddler, but the burger patties weren't fully cooked. And on top of all that, the store is unbelievably filthy! The floor of the restaurant was greasy to the point of being slippery(not mopped for days) and the tables had food stuck and dried to them. The men's room door handle is broken and it was completely gross inside. Looks like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. I absolutely would not recommend this place and feel they need to replace the manager and staff or just shut it down completely before someone gets...
