China King — Restaurant in Town of Chili

Bad bad bad. I showed up at night and first noticed their sign was completely out, not a good first sign. The front windows have hand smears all over and look like they haven’t been cleaned in decades. They have a huge container of precooked chicken pieces sitting out right behind the checkout counter and next to it was a huge container of pre fried egg rolls. Was not surprised at all to bite into one of the egg rolls to find it undercooked, inside wrapper raw, and the whole thing was cold. They very literally grab one out of the container that’s been sitting out and just pop it into the bag upon order. The beef is bland and tasteless. Both mine and my wife’s stomachs hurt afterwards. There’s a difference between bad and a place that really doesn’t care and takes advantage of the lack of competition. You can try the place for yourself if you want, but you might consider making the extra 10 minute drive and go to someplace that actually cares about...

DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered crab wontons, sesame chicken with noodles, and egg drop soup. I took a few bites of everything and immediately felt sick to my stomach. The food has a weird taste overall and just doesn't taste fresh. I called and told the woman who answered what was wrong. Immediately she started telling me there was something wrong with me and that the food was fine. I didn't even want a refund necessarily, but she started being rude, so I asked for one. She basically said they don't give refunds and that there isn't something wrong with the food but something wrong with me. She asked me if I'd ever eaten Chinese food and all this ridiculous stuff. I should have realized that most of the positive reviews are from a few years ago and that the quality has gone downhill. So basically they took $21 from me without me actually even consuming any of their product. So yeah...avoid it...

I don't know where to start. I ordered two lunch specials. Roast Pork Chow Mein, and Pork Egg Foo Young with an egg roll. I took two bites of one then a bite of the other. Everything had an off-taste and it all tasted the same. Everything had an oily finish and tasted really bad. I believe it all came from rancid oil. I think they use the oil from the deep fryer to cook all the food. They don't change the oil and as a result the oil is rancid so the food tastes rancid. Frankly, I did not feel good after partly consuming one of the meals. I should have known better when I first saw the entrance of the store window which was dirty and full of old scotch tape never removed. The front of the store is full of junk. It looks like it was a sit-down restaurant at one time, but why all the junk? It's just a take-out place now. I would not want to serve any of this food to a child. Later: After eight hours I...
