Sake Bomb — Restaurant in Town of Cicero

Wish I could give 0 stars to this place. Tonight 1/25/19, my boyfriend and I ordered some rolls and 3 pieces of belly tuna that prior to ordering I asked the waitress if those were fresh since they were gonna charge me $20 for 3 pieces of sashimi which I don't mind paying for good food, I was expecting a nice slightly pink fatty piece of tuna and I got some weird smelly gray piece of fish that was not nicely cut it still had meat strings on the sides and it had blood stains in it which I couldn't even finish because it was so gross. I have been to nice Japanese restaurants in NYC and NJ and I went to this restaurant without expectations, the waitress was friendly at first, but never got me the water I asked for and also lied about the belly tuna being fresh. I should also have noticed the huge red flag since when I asked her if the tuna was fresh she made a confused face. We ordered a drink as well that wasn't the greatest and extremely sweet. Overall, rolls and sushi was not great, fish was nasty and smelled fishy and weird, the rice was dry and the rolls were just falling apart before we could even dip it in soy sauce. Waitress was very friendly, but clueless to our needs and checked on us for a brief 5 seconds then we had to call her over to get our check. I went to your restaurant because a friend of mine said it was a nice place with good food, unfortunately you guys did not deliver and I will be not returning to your restaurant and I'll tell friends and family to stay away from your place. A group of my friends and I went to this restaurant to celebrate a very good friends birthday. I knew we were going to have a large party, so I called days before and told them that we would be coming in with a large party of 14. The person that I spoke with made our reservation for 7pm, and I received a text confirmation after we had ended the call. So everyone arrives at 6:45p, I let the hostess know that we were all here minus one; due to work. So around 730p we still hadn't been sat, I went over to the hostess and kindly asked how much longer it would be. She proceed to tell me that we hadn't been sitted because we had added more ppl to our reservation, and that's what was taking so long. I told her we didn't add anyone, that we had actually had one less person in our party. She then got annoyed with me, and told me that our party was blocking the door and we had to go stand out; and they would come get us whenever our table was ready. Mind you it was freezing outside. I didn't want to be a debbie downer so we waited. At 8:20p I go back in and what our status was on getting a table, they told use 5mins. I grab everyone from outside to come back in, we finally got sat at 840p. When our waitress come to get our drinks orders, I asked could we have our bill disconnected because we had be waiting so long. She said sure, she would send someone over; that never happened. We went last night (Friday), at around 7:30. We did not have a reservation, so we fully expected to have to wait for hibachi. It took about 10 minutes for the hostess to even greet us. (We later learned it’s because she is also responsible for bussing and resetting tables and grills). Anyhow, she told us it would be a 20-30 minute wait for hibachi. We were ok with that, and went to the sushi bar to have appetizers and wait. She assured us that she would get us there when our table was ready. After 55 minutes had passed, and we watched her seat other parties for hibachi, I stopped her and asked if she had forgotten us? She quickly and nervously said “no”. A few minutes later she came and brought us to a hibachi grill that seat 12 people, and sat the 2 of us there alone. She said our waitress would be right over. After 10 minutes had gone by, with no one coming to our table, I again asked the hostess (who was bussing a table next to us, if she had actually forgotten us earlier or not. Reluctantly, she said “I didn’t forget you, but when I seated a party with reservations, a couple followed them in, and took your seats. I didn’t know what to do...I’m sorry.” After waiting another 10 minutes, our server still had not come over to our hibachi grill table where only the two of us were siting.
