I can't say enough great things about this place and the staff. Due to the heat and threat of thunder storms, we had to make a last minute change to our planned trip for ESY (summer school). We called Dee Maria's Tuesday afternoon for a Friday trip, and Brian and Fabio very graciously accommodated us. Brian did a demonstration on how they make their pizza, and made it interactive by asking questions and very patiently waiting for student responses. Our students are diagnosed with autism, and have processing and language delays, making answering questions difficult. Brian was very gracious and not only waited for the kids to respond, but acknowledged each child's response. He even let them try to catch and toss rubber dough to see how they would fare as a pizza maker. My students absolutely loved the whole demonstration! The students then sat down to enjoy the pizza they watched Brian make, and even our pickiest eaters thoroughly enjoyed it! We even had an extremely picky eater who had never eaten pizza before try it, and he loved it. I know this is a very long post, but the graciousness and generosity of Brian and Fabio cannot be overstated. From opening early to welcome 10 special needs students and 10 staff members, to treating our students with patience, dignity and respect, and everything in between, I am so grateful. Pair that with delicious pizza, Dee Maria's will be our go-to...
Read moreMy family used to love this place when Pat was the owner. Food is no longer consistent and chicken has been served raw on many occasions, not just to us, but even to other friends of ours who used to go there and they stopped going for that reason. Our last experience was the final straw for us....as we were waiting for our order in the dining room section on the left side, I noticed 2 cockroaches of the same breed crawling on the wall right next to me. I was so grossed out and I should've left, but I only stood because my kids were hungry & we already ordered. I tried to get a picture of them, but they blended in with the filth on the baseboard molding. I was able to capture a photo of one. I regret not leaving that day because we ended up bringing one of those nasty cockroaches home with us in our to go boxes! Eeewwwwww! I did research and discovered that it was a German roach. Although the food was always good in the past, especially when Pat was running it, the new owner really needs to invest in a much needed renovation and take care of the pest issue. I'm sure all of the workers are very aware of the roach situation. If those roaches were out while people were dining, then that could only mean that there are much, much more! Grosses me out to think about it, but I'm sure there are plenty in the kitchen and that's a real health hazard...
Read moreIt's not only pizza of all types, and desires, margarita slices, and the kitchen is awesome. You can see how counter food is prepared. Succulent apps such as calamari, the garlic bread is addictive, soups vary by day. I had the pasta e fagoli soup, a nice green salad with the entree i recommend the house dressing. I also had a peroni beer, and for the main course a tender, delicious, right temperature in its broth tilapia Fanchese with a big side of angel hair pasta in garlic and olive oil. I was stuffed, and took some to go. No room for dessert but i hear the cannolis are fresh. The service was professional, attentive, and on the go, from the counter staff to the servers. constantly busy. I'll comeback any day. Not a big place, and there's dining room space, kid/family friendly. Dinner time is rush hour....
