New City Taco Boys — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

This restaurant has potential. The environment was a bit dirty (tables had trash from previous customers and the table was not as clean), and I wish I had taken photos before cleaning the area. Hence why I deducted a star. However, I felt my food was phenomenal. I ordered the SPECIAL BURRITO for $12.99 which has french fries, hot cheetos, shredded monterey Jack cheese, queso sauce, chipotle mayo, sour cream, cilantro & onions with any meat. My dad ordered a ground beef taco with rice and beans. I deducted another star since he did not enjoy his taco; he felt the tortilla was not as fresh and the meat was a bit overcooked. Otherwise, he enjoyed the rice and beans. The staff on the other hand seemed to be scarce; there was only one worker. Maybe it was the owner. I can't comment on the service or atmosphere but I will say it was fast with doordash. As far as the steak tacos go, the variety of toppings provided was more any other place. It came with lettuce, tomato, grilled onion buy the meat of the matter, literally, the steak was not as good as the usual steak, onion and cilantro offerings. The steak was cut into very small pieces which took away from the steak taco experience. I'm sure given the locations and business objectives the idea is to be quick and commercially acceptable and Inclusive of taste that may not venture to the smaller no habla ingles hole in the walls but while might give this place another shot for different menu items and meats, I have safer vetted bets with all the options available. Everything we’ve ever ordered has been really tasty. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get, and the people are exceptionally nice. I think they made a mistake one time with the fillings on a burrito. I think we ordered it online. I now prefer to call and speak to someone directly. But when it happened, I called up they took care of it right away. Great local place, when you’re craving Mexican food, they should be your first call. Highly recommend.
