Color Me Mine — Local services in Town of Clarkstown

I don’t typically write reviews, but I was so bothered by the terrible service here today- February 5, 2021 at 2 PM for a party of 7 children. The three employees were bothered with every request we had, such as “can we have some paint?”, and “do you have paper towels?” It’s crazy that even with face masks, you can see attitude in ones body. They were seemingly bothered because they were preoccupied with their cellphones. So much so, that we asked to have our items dried, and they pointed to where the fan was. And to be honest, it pains me to have to write this review because I am a woke Afro-Latina and hate to throw shade on those part of my community. Went here with my husband and had a wonderful experience. We were the only people there during the time we were there. You have to reserve your table online. I think it's $5 for the table plus the cost of whatever item you wish to paint. The staff were very friendly and asked if we needed more paint on a regular basis. We painted a seahorse spoon holder and a Llama. I was too ambitious and mine took about 2 hours to paint. Next time I won't choose too many colors! My hard work paid off though. Our pieces were ready in 1 week and love the way they turned out. They will notify you by email or phone when they are ready. You can choose to paint there or take your pieces home to color. I’ve been there a few times with my best friend and my boyfriend. The staff is always very welcoming. They show you how to get started and continue to check in to see if you need any more colors throughout your time painting there. It takes a week for your piece to be ready for pick up and I’m an impatient person so i sometimes come a couple days early to see if it’s ready yet haha. Sometimes it is sometimes It isn’t.
