I’ll be honest... I didn’t have too high of expectations when I made reservations for Mother’s Day brunch as service and food can normally nose dive during peak holidays. Add to that, I read earlier reviews which some were less to be desired but I now am positive it was mainly from grand opening glitches which can be understandable. This place is great and I’m pleasantly surprised at how DELICIOUS the food was.
It was our first time dining here with several young kids in toll and let me tell you that is no easy feat. The staff were super friendly, accommodating, quick to please and so wonderful, especially our waitress. We have allergies in the family and they were very accommodating and flexible on modifying the options for him.
We ordered the chicken wings (Vietnamese sauce), barrata, French toast, 105 burger, crispy salmon, grilled chicken, and kiddie cheeseburger. Everything was so good. Fries were addictively delish! Wings were finger licking good (would be even taster if they marinate it a little longer). Barrata was fresh and served with yummy, soft, and crusty bread. Oh and the burger...to...die...for! I love the savory undertones of the bacon jam and melted Brie. Nice touch! Presentation nicely plated and the portions were bigger than I expected. Needless to say, we had leftovers. We had to take our dessert to go as the kids were getting cranky since they had sacrificed their nap to have brunch with mommy. Oh well, it was great while it lasted!...
Read moreI am not the kind of person to usually leave negative reviews, but I have also never been injured this badly by an establishment before. The entree was delicious and service was speedy, but things took a very sharp turn when I ordered dessert. The cake in a mug that I was brought took longer to arrive than my pasta, and burned me to literal blisters (even after icing my hand immediately) when I touched it. The waitress was not exactly apologetic, saying she “usually does” warn people about how hot the mug is. Since the cake tasted burned, I suspect it sat under the lamp for some time. When I was conspicuously icing my fingers, the waitress did not choose to ask how I was doing, instead taking this time to tell me about the rewards program. Not awesome. Don’t order the...
Read moreI want to like this house, since it’s my local, but there’s something missing, a sense that somebody’s home, a warmth. There an afterthought feeling about it. My last two meals really bent my nose out of shape. The vegetarian burger was served on a completely stale roll. Last Sunday, I ordered a $19 salmon and egg dish that would have been acceptable in a griddle place by the railroad station. There was no attention to appearance, consistency in the dish, or proper cooking technique. Management needs to have and execute standards. Your cook is unworthy of your menu and ambiance. You’re not looking! Circles back to the “nobody’s home” phenomenon. I am going to stop throwing my money away dining there. So...
