Absolutely Terrible Experience – Completely Overrated and Unprofessional
I genuinely don’t understand how this place is considered a “town gem.” My experience here was frustrating from start to finish, and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values decent service or basic quality control.
First of all, they messed up my order by giving me the wrong cone. Instead of fixing it properly like any normal ice cream shop would do, they literally dug out the scoop of ice cream and plopped it onto a different cone. No apology, no care — just sloppy and gross. I’m sorry, but if you mess up the order, the bare minimum is to remake it, not Frankenstein it together like some afterthought.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the cone for my second order was broken. When I politely pointed it out and asked if it could be swapped, I was met with a completely ridiculous response — one of the girls working there said, “All the cones are like that,” as if that makes it okay? And instead of helping, she and the cashier started laughing at us. I wish I was exaggerating, but nope — they actually stood there laughing. The level of rudeness and unprofessionalism was honestly shocking. If this is how they treat paying customers, I’m not sure how they’re still in business.
And let’s talk about the ice cream: bland, forgettable, and nowhere near the “best in town” that people keep raving about. I’ve had better from a supermarket tub. Definitely not worth the hype or the attitude that comes with it.
Save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else. There are plenty of ice cream places that know how to treat customers with basic respect and actually serve a product worth eating. I will never be coming back, and I’ll be telling everyone I know to...
Read moreHello,
I met you at the Clearwater Music festival this past Sunday. I was the guy who waited on line for a half hour for lemonade with your lovely daughter, Corinna (sp.)
We had a nice chat that seemed to shorten the hot wait. I was very impressed by her mature demeanor and articulateness. She told me about softball and horseback riding. She also said she usually works at the store but that she enjoyed working the occasional outdoor festival. (I think because she got to spend time with you, her mom).
Anyway, the music and atmosphere were tremendous and your ice cream was exquisite. (My wife and I had the lemon - delish!)
Best wishes to you and continuing success with your business. I may have to make a return trip to Croton just for your ice cream!
Please say hi to Corinna for me and please have a conversation with the powers that be at the stable, so she can ride a horse that's more compatible with her. She deserves to ride a horse that's as kind and wonderful as she is.

Read moreI have been coming here for years with friends and the families I babysit for and it is just delicious. No matter how long the lines may get we are always helped and the staff is always friendly quirky and excited to help and greet you. There is a wide array of intriguing homeade flavors (the best part about it), and to the person complaining about not having simple flavors, have you not seen the chocolate chocolate chocolate ?! LITERALLY Incredible. Also the owner is very dedicated and grows many of her herbs and ingredients implemented into her fresh ice cream, like the grapefruit mojito sorbet. My favorite ice cream is a berry lemon mascarpone and she does a French press coffee one too that is incredible. This place has everything you could want in a quaint and adorable boutique cozy ice cream shop, love ya blue pig! Thanks for always hitting those...
