Halal Bros Cortlandt — Restaurant in Town of Cortlandt

I ordered from here on grubhub and holy crap I'm going to have to go get this stuff fresh, it was soooo good. Some interesting takes on various dishes. Like the jambalaya, while not really being a typical recipe was really really good.. I don't know if I would call it jambalaya but I will absolutely order it each and every time I come here. Also had the quesadilla and oh man, just awesome. So much chicken, so flavorful. I also got there butter chicken curry with rice. Again, Not quite chicken tikka masala, but it definitely takes big inspiration from it. Very pleasantly spiced, with a bit of a cinnamon finish, paired with the rice which is heavy on the coriander and wow really tasty. I can't wait to eat here again and try more stuff. OH and the prices! At a time where every place is trying to price gouge you, they're keeping it well within the affordable range. So for me anyway, this spot goes on my list of always in the mood for places....

Not fast food, but good food fast. In general we liked this place. The meat plate over rice was very flavorful and the salad side was fresh and crispy. And lots of both! The special curry of the day was butter chicken which was tasty but a little too spicy for my liking - it might be wise to ask about adjusting for heat, which I failed to do. But it had very nice flavor. The chicken samosas were excellent! Space for eating in was limited but the stools at the counter are comfy. Very eclectic menu. I saw another review asserting “fake” reviews, and the owners response. I agree the reviews are unlikely to be “fake” as the food is pretty darn good. But there was sign at the register offering a free soda for a good review. FYI, I did not take this offer. This review is all my own opinions. Still, well done...

The gentleman I dealt with was really cool and polite. The place was clean. The food was fantastic . I had the combo platter chicken and lamb. I get the sauce on the side I always recommend. I enjoy halal food and am familiar with halal food from the city. I will tell you this is top notch. The lamb was better than the chicken in this restaurant but I will continue to get the combo.
