This is definitely a special occasion dining experience. The pace between courses was perfect, plenty of time to savor, enjoy, discuss, share. We spent about 3 hours total savoring our courses.

The sommelier was fantastic, as was our food sever. Both took the time to explain each offering, answered questions, and made recommendations. I would definitely encourage doing the wine pairing with the meal.

The executive Chef Philippe Chevalier, came out at the end of our meal to ensure everything was up to par. He also took the time to answer questions, and share some personal history of how he arrived at Opus.

The price was to be expected, for the level of service, quality of food, and wonderful ambiance but certainly not an "every day" dining option for most.

We even bumped into the owner on our way out, and spent several minutes discussing the dining experience with him. He genuinely appreciated our feedback, listened to any suggestions we might have, and was humble and gracious in explaining how Opus, this amazing dining gem, with an acclaimed chef who holds 7 Michelin Bib Gourmand awards, came to be in our own backyard in little Walworth County, Wisconsin.

Be ready...

This was the best meal I've had in my entire life. Chef Eric is incredibly thoughtful, detailed, and artistic in his creations. The menu changes each week, so you know you will get fresh ingredients and a very intentionally designed meal.

Every dish was elevated, refined, and extremely flavorful. They were perfectly portioned so that you could experience all seven (or five, depending on which you choose) courses without being overly full. We will still be thinking about the mushroom dish for the next few years, and luckily this is Chef Eric's signature dish so you may get it on your menu too.

If you're looking for a fancy meal to celebrate an event or just have a memorable night, Opus is well worth the money. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff, everything was very personable. It's an experience I won't forget!

We also appreciated the sweet, custom happy birthday plate at the end 😊 Chef Eric was so kind and it was lovely to talk to him at the end after appreciating his...

An absolutely beautiful venue but words cannot describe the food!!!! My wife and I were lucky enough to reserve a table at Opus and chef Philippe Chevalier astounded!!!! Immediately upon entering we knew this was special. The staff were welcoming, personable, and obviously knowledgeable on quality dining. Nols, the Sommelier, was on point and we gave him the reigns for our 4 course dinner from the start- he was magnificent!!! Aaaand the food! My wife and I split every course as we could not stand to miss out! The meal was perfectly pared, bright, lightly heavy when necessary, and bursting with flavors unknown to us!!! Truly the best meal we have ever had!!!! And chef Chevalier visited us after allowing pictures. We left speechless and delighted! Needless to say a return is certain. I would say Michelin stars...

Love this charming French restaurant! (Don’t look for a sign cuz there just isn’t one) to the rear of the Belfry Hotel, we were seated on the patio (a little too close for comfort as 3 tables of 2 were immediately as if 1 of 6! … good if you are outgoing but perhaps not if looking for romance!) Beautiful setting, great classic jazz music, nice service, food and drinks were good. I loved my burrata salad, French onion lacked cheese but was good. Entrees beef bourguignon (good) and pork belly confit (Minus the requisite fat) were good. No GF dessert for me so vanilla ice cream… but hubby enjoyed a chocolate cake (which I wish was flourless…) Left right at Sunset as all the Theatre goers were arriving for a concert!
