I just wrote six paragraphs describing my displeasure and animosity towards this low class institution, and accidentally hit back instead of post. In short, they suck. Avoid at all costs.
They do a sub par job of being an urgent care. Employees obviously are working in a toxic environment and it shows in the way they treat people. Disregard for decency and pretty much disingenuous to the core.
Only one Dr. on duty, in the middle of the day, for both ER and urgent care. No wonder I waited 4 hrs and 4.5 hrs the two times I have been there. And that was in the last two weeks.
After first visit, was told to use there online check-in system if I had to come, as I made them aware of my displeasure. I used it the second time, and actually waited LONGER for a more serious problem. If I included the time from when I checked in online, my second visit was 6 Hrs!
This is medical care. Its medical I-dont-care, now gimme your money. Poorly managed and just leaves you feeling worse than when you arrived.
My two cents, based off of wasting ten hours of my life. Oh, did I mention, they didn't run a single test (other than BP and temp) and just threw antibiotics...
Read moreKind staff, pleasant front desk person didn't know anything about their process or pace of care. The problem is that Mercy hospital has an online system that supposedly books you appointments based on when their next able to see someone. Waiting for appointment and an hour and 45 minutes later we were first visiting a triage nurse who said it would be at least another one to two hour wait to see a doctor. I don't fault the team at all, they had a lot of emergency room patients to see. but it's the online system headed all accurately reflected the waiting time I and the several other families of young children probably never would have come there. We walked out and went to an aurora health center and saw a doctor in under 30 minutes. The mercy online system has got to be made more accurate especially for families with young children of which there were six other families in the waiting room had been waiting more than two hours with their young kids when...
Read moreNew to the area, ended up in ER. Took nurses more than 4 tries to start an IV. Dr. Hamik Biramian was kind, but instead of ordering a simple blood test to first rule out a rare condition, he instead order all kinds of scans that were unnecessary, as the blood test could have ruled out the condition. My doctor at Northwestern and attorney both wrote letters to Mercy. Glenn Milos who apparently heads emergency services and himself has awful reviews had zero compassion for the fact that Biramian didn't know what he was doing and was at the time a 1099 so just making profit of of fees. To further add fuel to the fire, I offered to pay for the entire bill except for the unnecessary tests, and Mercy refused. I've filed complaints with JACHO and the state, to learn there are many complaints against Mercy for over-billing and unnecessary testing. Stay away, stay...
