So many caveats to this review.. First, Chef John is a narcissist. He took over the evening and was demeaning to everyone he called out. It was meant to be comedy, but got very old after 4 hours.
This isn’t a cooking school, it’s a cooking event. Groups are given a recipe to follow and you serve your dish (appetizer, salad, main, desert) in cadence. The food was fine but portions are small.
You are guided by sous chefs, most of which are pursuing interests outside of the culinary world. Which is fine, but our chef’s heart really wasn’t in it.

Chef John is engaging and very entertaining in addition to being an excellent chef. There was music, fun, lots of laughter, wine, food and great conversation.
