We had a really disappointing experience here. When we first arrived, we walked up to the counter and the two men working glanced at us, then went right back to what they were doing, completely ignoring us until they felt ready. When one finally came over, he looked us straight in the face but didn’t say a single word. I had to greet him first just to get any kind of acknowledgment.
From that point on, it felt like we were dealing with someone who absolutely didn’t want to be there. Asking simple questions about the menu was like pulling teeth—no enthusiasm, no effort to be helpful. And to be clear, this wasn’t a language barrier issue; we’re Latino as well and spoke to him in Spanish.
As for the food, I’d give it maybe a 4/10. The flavor was bland, and we had to ask where the condiments were, as nothing was explained or pointed out. It seemed like they just assumed we knew where everything was.
Overall, the customer service was rude and unwelcoming, the food was below average, and the prices were far too high for the quality offered. Definitely not a place I’d recommend...
Read moreThis is a mixed review. The good: The outside seating and the casual nature of this restaurant. It's right off Montauk Highway on the "below-the-highway" side and not near town, really, so it's easy to miss. But don't let that fool you, it's easy enough to find that it gets packed on summer weekends. But it's still a great vibe outside in a "woody" area with loads of trees, so you're sort of off the beaten path. The interior is small and really only for ordering and getting yoru sauces. You generally would take food to go or be seated outside on picnic tables. It's a casual paradise in the Hamptons.
The not-so great is the food. It's not bad, but not great. The tacos are just passable. the esquites are better for sure but not amazing. And that would be A-OK if the prices were more reasonable. It's just so expensive for what you get. Nachos just shouldn't be so expensive.
If you're in Southampton or Amagansett, it's a good choice. If you're east of Amagansett or in Montauk, check out the...
Read moreI don’t know where to begin. Tried to place a phone order but the line was busy so I decided to just go order in person. They won’t take an order in person (that would be useful info to put on your website) and told me I had to call the order in to the person 5 feet away. So I waited until they hung up and called and spoke to this person 5 feet away over the phone. One of the items I requested was a bean and rice burrito for my child. they can’t make a bean and rice burrito. it has to have meat. Can the meat be on the side? No. Ok so I have to order a side of rice, a side of beans and a side of tortillas and put this together myself because for some extremely bizarre reason this restaurant can’t put their 3 ingredients together for me without adding meat to it. Lastly took massively longer to be ready than the time promised. The strangest and worst customer experience I have ever had at a...
