Update: Management replied to original review saying they would reach out but never did, I felt the need to come back to this review almost a year later as we're planning another trip out east this summer.
Fell short especially for the price.
The property itself is gorgeous, and has a very calm atmosphere for one to wind down and relax. The cleaning staff was very friendly and even the grounds crew were very accommodating to any random need we had.
The studio cottage was very nice and clean, albeit on the small side - but it was really nice that they had a little dog bed and chew toys for our little jrt we brought along.
We had a plumbing issue the morning after our first night. What I thought was a simple clogged toilet turned into quite the experience as hotel maintenance workers couldn't fix the issue and waste services were called to the property for what felt like 4 hours. My uneducated guess thinks all the buildings have their own septic tanks which hadn't been cleared since the start of summer so they figured they'd do that all in one day. So it goes.
We were moved to one of the suites which was quite spacious but were downgraded from a king bed to a queen size. It was quite the ordeal moving all of our belongings over to the new room, but again, no big deal as we're simply trying to enjoy ourselves. The fact I have to write this seems silly but the door/lock to the new room was so janky that it would end up really upsetting me just getting in and out of the room. My fiance simply stopped trying because it was so annoying.
If you're still reading the main 2 reasons for review star reduction would be price and how little effort was made to placate us the rest of our stay. Had we been offered a bottle of wine or even a $10 gift card to a local coffee shop or any sort of gesture would have been nice. At checkout we were told that it was "out of our (the hotel's) hands" and "sorry about that".. I'm sorry but for $800/night for a Sunday-Monday "off-peak" stay the experience was simply unacceptable. We wound up in Montauk spending less than $600/night in a bigger room with a better view and...
Read moreWe'll never stay anywhere else on the island again. We experienced an issue with a booking we had elsewhere as we were en route on a Thursday...at the end of June. Magically there were two spots open here and when I called to confirm that this was actually the case and we were mere minutes from potentially arriving, the woman I spoke with was so kind, gave us a last minute discount, and reached out to the onsite people to let them know we'd be there soon. Every single person working here was amazing (Elena!!) and even better was reachable via text for literally anything you could possibly need. The property is stunning. Not just smoke and mirrors influencer stunning, truly stunning. We originally booked the three bedroom cottage but had some issues with our pup and noise as a few vehicles weren't following drop off rules and they moved us into the Main House essentially ruining us for being able to stay anywhere else on this property. Wow. Anything you needed was in this accommodation-kitchen, DR, LR w/fireplace, 2 BRs, 2.5 baths, and the most amazing front porch to have coffee in the morning or pizza from up the street in the evening. You're right on Main Street so the people watching is top tier. Every morning our selected light breakfast items were delivered and the fridges were restocked daily with free still+ sparking water, an assortment of sodas and a couple creamers. Nespresso pods were replenished each day as was the sweet welcome kit filled with little snacks. The location can't be beat-Amber Waves market and Montauk one direction, downtown Amagansett the other. The stay also comes with a beach pass, which is also amazing. Thank you all so much for the beautiful stay and impeccable...

We travel everywhere with our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and the Roundtree is our family’s favorite place in the world! The dogs absolutely lose their minds every time they get out of the car and realize they are back at the Roundtree! The staff spoil our girls with love and attention, toys, dog bowls and dog beds on every visit, and the spacious back lawn is absolute paradise for these city dogs. The hotel also offers complimentary beach passes and is less than 5 min drive from Atlantic Avenue Beach, which is extremely dog-friendly and beautiful. We love starting our day here! It is generally quiet before 10 AM aside from other people walking their dogs and you can enjoy long stretches of beach to yourself.
Boby and the rest of the team also consistently go the extra mile to surprise and delight the human guests from fresh local flowers and a welcome bottle of wine in your room to complimentary room upgrades. My mom recently visited us from out of state and we took her out to Amagansett for a long weekend. Boby upgraded us to the three bedroom cottage to ensure everyone had plenty of space and create a memorable and comfortable first visit to the Hamptons for my mom.
Sylvia and Boby set the highest bar for hospitality and continue to innovate to find new ways to raise that bar and deliver a boutique experience with “big hotel” conveniences from breakfast or hot chocolate and popcorn delivered to your room to partnerships/pop-ups with top chefs...
