Meeting House — Restaurant in Town of East Hampton

While I had high hopes for The Meeting House based on several great experiences at its prior iteration, my recent visit fell short of expectations. The quality of the food was inconsistent, and the service, while friendly, didn't quite match the level I'd expect at these prices.

Positives: Kid-Friendly: The kids' menu was a highlight, with my 5-year-old daughter raving about the wagon wheel pasta and said it was the best "Daddy Date Night pasta she had ever had".

Negatives: Vietnamese Wings: The Vietnamese wings were dry and overcooked, lacking the flavor and juiciness I anticipated. Thai Red Curry: The tofu and vegetable Thai red curry was a major disappointment. It was watery, lacked depth of flavor, and the vegetables were undercooked. Inconsistent Quality: The overall quality of the dishes seemed inconsistent, suggesting potential issues with preparation or ingredients.

Our server offered to remake the dish, but considering the undercooked vegetables and seemingly unmarinated tofu, I declined. The manager removed the item from the bill, but their response was apathetic, suggesting a lack of interest in customer feedback.

While The Meeting House may still be a good option for families seeking a kid-friendly dining experience, I would recommend caution when ordering more complex dishes. It's possible that the kitchen may have been having an off day, but my experience was less than...

It’s cute but the food falls way short.

We ordered: -Chicken lettuce wraps: 3/10 tasted like dogfood. Somehow despite sitting in juice, the chicken was very dry.

-Side of carrots: 10/10 great

-Cuban sandwich: 7/10 - pulled a long black hair out of it (not ours)

-espresso martini: 7/10

Service: Very pushy and rushed for no reason - open tables were available. We just paid the check and I still have 1/2 of my espresso martini left to drink.

I could not believe the prices compared to the portion size of our tuna crudite appetizer tonight! It was barely even visible it was like SCAPS hidden under a sauce! The “papaya” salad- NO taste & no papaya! Thai curry entree w chicken- also awful! And it was way too expensive for an awful meal. I’ll not...
