They have an amazing selection, but the rudest staff ever. We went there with friends to get a gift for my husband. He loves cooking, and a friend recommended this place. They have a “no photos” policy, which I fully support.
I saw a Japanese pan that I liked and took out my phone to write down the name of the brand. A female worker rushed into the room and, with a condescending smile, proceeded to tell us that no photos were allowed.
I showed her my phone and explained that I just wanted to write down the name of the brand so I could research it further—plus, there were no price tags on any of the items, so I wanted to look that up as well. She said that I couldn’t do that and insisted they don’t have "brands," claiming everything is unique (even though the brand name was clearly printed on the handle). She told me I couldn’t use my phone or write it down.
When we asked how else we could research the purchase, she told us she could print all the necessary information. I'm against wasting paper, and the whole situation felt really strange.
She then continued following us through the store and continued saying that we can’t use our phones (even though no one was using their phones! We were just holding them in our hands).
