Dippy's Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Town of Gibraltar

Dippy's sells Chocolate Shoppe brand ice cream which is one of my favorites: a good Wisconsin made brand with many unique flavors. And Dippy's stocks 18 of those flavors which is more than I've seen at any other shop. That said, I was appalled to find that despite the fact that Chocolate Shoppe makes several nondairy soy flavors AND sorbet... There was not one of those options available. I love going to get ice cream with my girlfriend who does not have allergies, however I myself am allergic to dairy. I love that many places have non dairy options, be it a blended frozen banana, shave ice, or sorbet. But it is very rare to find non dairy ice cream. I think it would be a hit if dippy's stocked even one nondairy flavor (the best part is that those who do not have allergies can still eat them too). Good ice cream, but overall disappointed that my hopes of an oreo soy or perhaps raspberry nebula soy were dashed. Also the shop was out of ice and could not make the one thing on their menu that was non dairy : a fruit smoothie. I would have appreciated that at least. Please stock some soy or...

We walked up at 835pm last night. Closes at 9pm. They were only allowing 5 at a time inside and had to wear masks. Kudos to that 👍 Our turn came about 845pm. I asked for a banana split, the male employee looked at me with a not so happy face. Then he says to me have you seen how long the line is. Yes, within the 10 minutes we were there, the line was about 20 deep. So I asked the employee how about a sundae, he says to me I prefer not to. The employee was not happy, probably because there were so many customers at closing time. We settled for just the ice cream flavors available, which were good. But the unhappy employee, not good...

We have a 6 year old allergic to milk and I was shocked how hard it is to find vegan/non-dairy options but Dippy’s has 2 oat milk flavors and not only was it delicious, but the young man working (said his name was Carter) was incredibly kind & considerate. He went out of his way to help us feel comfortable and sanitize the scoop etc. The amazing service was so refreshing for a young guy his age, we were so impressed and grateful! Can’t wait...
