Friendly staff, good coffee and they have vegan/vegetarian options. A refreshing stop in Door County, which doesn't have too many places with veg options. The vegan burrito with cilantro rice, black beans, sweet potatoes and their sauce was really excellent. They have a nice outdoor dining area at the back. Edit: I came back here one year after the first review but didn't have as good of an experience because I decided to try their plant based burger. I would recommend clearly identifying the "plant based" burger as being one of the premade patties and not one made in the kitchen (not sure which it was, impossible or beyond... but I really avoid those for being ultra-processed foods). I just had to dismantle it and eat the ciabatta with the coleslaw etc. Not sure how I missed asking about it here but usually I ask about that. You could also easily make the vegan patty in house with a black bean base and other ingredients that you already have in house.

This was our last stop of our trip to Door County and it was a great stop! The place was packed and it is order your food and then find a place to sit and eat. They have a small porch to sit on but most of the seating is outside. It worked out that we were able to grab a window seat in front and just sit and look out at the calm water! My food was super yummy! I got a cinnamon roll, to die for, an oatmeal, so yummy and not runny, and a Chuck Norris, had the perfect punch! The Chuck Norris is a Carmel latte with a triple shot! And it is so pretty! In the picture you will see a partially eaten cookie. (This cookie sandwich was shared with me by another customer that I became friends with while waiting in line to order our food!) It was AMAZING! Two cookies with a thick layer of cinnamon roll frosting. Holy cow, I had a bit of a sugar rush for our 5 hour drive home!!!! I cant wait to go back and visit!

We just got home from our latest Door County adventure and we went to Blue Horse 4 of 4 days; including, for the first time, for lunch! Not only did we get lunch for the first time, but it was so good we went twice. Blue Horse is our favorite place in all of Door County and we’ve been going since the summer they were in the garage before the café was completed. I daydream about a Blue Horse iced caramel mocha when we’re not there. Several summers ago (in June) I had a life-changing strawberry lemon scone. I’ve never had one there again (not in season) and I’ve never been able to make them myself half as good as Blue Horse. This year we tried a cinnamon roll for the first time. It was amazing. You will not be disappointed. Go for the coffee, get a pastry, and then go back for lunch. We ❤ Blue Horse. P.S. The new online ordering system works well and we appreciate the COVID safety precautions!

My boyfriend and I stopped by this coffee shop a few years ago and truly enjoyed our experience. The coffee was delicious as were the chorizo burritos. Unfortunately, our experience today was not great to say the least. Don't get me wrong, the food and the coffee were decent, though not as good as we remember from our previous experience.

However, the utter lack of professionalism and customer service is what will make us think twice about returning to your establishment.

First of all, we have absolutely no problem wearing a mask. It now seems to be the norm and working with the public on a day to day basis has made us quite comfortable to do so. When we arrived to get coffee and a quick breakfast to go, we were told that it would be about a 20 minute wait for the food to cook and that we could sit on the bench and enjoy our coffee. Fine. Not a problem. We weren't particularly in a rush to meander back home anyway. So there we were on your bench enjoying our coffee, social distanced from literally everyone else in the building, removing our mask ONLY to drink our coffee when out comes an I'll tempered cook berating us to keep our mask on. When my boyfriend tried to explain that he was literally drinking his coffee, which, we were told we could do, the cook cut him off with a snippy retort of "masks worn at all times" mantra and a glare. Usually, when visiting Door County, we are treated with kindness and hospitality. On a previous review, you told someone to "be kind." Perhaps, you should take your own advice. We will take our business elsewhere, as your 2 mediocre burritos, out of seasoned fruit, and average coffees were not worth the price nor the utter lack of...

We arrived expecting to get a delicious cold brew coffee after being referred here by a best friend's sister's friend's brother's wife's child's daughter's boyfriend. We waited in line for 30 minutes. As we approached the register I overheard the cashier chatting it up with the guests, and stating there would be a 30 minute wait for a coffee. My friends did not believe me-- how could it possibly take over 30 minutes for a cold brew they wondered?

We stepped to the register eager for our long awaited cold brew only to be told it would take 30 minutes to obtain it. We were then informed that only a drip hot coffee could be obtained at the time of purchase. I am unclear why a hot coffee can be poured immediately, but a pre-made cold brew from a wide lipped pitcher sitting in the fridge behind you cannot be poured immediately. We simply wanted a cold brew without cream, no frills.

We left with three hot coffees, completely beside ourselves, some of us in tears. Don't come here unless you enjoy waiting over an hour for COLD coffee, or if you wish to pretend that you are living in a real life episode of curb your enthusiasm.

Despite the tears, I admit the hot drip coffee was the best I had during my short stay. Sadly I cannot comment on the cold brew -- and I'm not sure who has 30 minutes to sit around and wait for it, I certainly do not. Perhaps if the business hires a consultant who specializes in operations to help fix this absurdity I...

I never feel impulsed to leave a negative review but after the experience me and a group of girls received this morning, something unfortunately has to be said. This place came highly recommended by multiple people, and I do believe the food and drinks are probably amazing however, upon entering, my sister had to use the bathroom and while we waited for her we stood by the coffee bean wall viewing the menu. We noticed the place was INFESTED with fruit flies/gnats. The entire coffee bean area, the mugs and the clothing were literally covered with them. This is not an exaggeration. COVERED. When my sister came back from the ladies room she said it was so bad in there and when she flushed, flies just came flooding from behind and these gnats were all over everything in there as well. Unfortunately we couldn’t stomach eating in this establishment because if it’s in the dining/front area and in the bathrooms, they’re elsewhere too. This definitely needs to be controlled and the health department would have major issues with this. We all wished we would’ve taken pictures because I’ve never seen such a bad...
