Demarco's Rt 5 Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Glenville

Camping at Mohawk Marina. RV Park, when checking in asked employee about close pizza place, she recommended DeMarco’s and gave us their menu. Decided to try them since they were so close to the park and boy was I glad we did! Parked on the side of the restaurant on the street. Walked in and they have 3 tables to dine in. Small, nice clean and well organized place. 3 different kinds of large pizza choices displayed if you just want a slice or 2 to carry out, big cooler with lots of beverages to choose from. We were cheerfully greeted at the counter/ pickup and order by a nice young woman. We ordered a Caesar salad 6.95 and it came with 2 cups of dressing, it was a big salad, enough for 3 people to eat. It was just delicious with great croutons and shaved Parmesan cheese, the dressing was so delicious, I liked that the lettuce was chopped up well for easy eating, and we also got the most delicious Italian bread to go with it. We ordered the Meatlovers Specialty pizza, 12”/ 6 slices, well done. Was brought to our table in less than 15 min, it was hot out of the oven and was covered in ample cheese and meat toppings and cooked perfectly well done. It was a big pizza for 2 people and had leftovers to take home. The pizza was fantastic and just delicious. I loved it because it did not have that big soft dough crust surrounding the pizza. What a great price for 17.00, talk about reasonable. This place is very popular with the locals, steady stream of people picking up pizza, I can see why, great pizza and salad. I had been getting my roast beef subs from next door, at Gabriels Supermarket, for several years now. I am very picky about roast beef....it has to be oven roasted true-blue roast beef....not that nasty deli meat. Anyway, Gabriels still does have great roast beef. However, their deli staff, imho, has really gone downhill over course of several months so I decided to check out next door to them, Demarco's Pizza. They advertise that they cook their own beef on premises. I am so glad I checked them out. Their subs are delicious, well made and fresh, as well as comparably priced to other places. And they do not skimp on the goodies. And yeah, the roast beef is awesome! I also have had one of their philly steak pizzas. That, too, was incredibly tasty. Everything went sour with my order on Halloween day. I called in my order at 11:40 am and the girl on the phone said it will be in my house in an hour. I figured out they're busy spbit was okay. About 12:30pm, I saw a sedan at the end of my driveway and before I could open the door, he left without getting off the car. I called back the store later and mentioned it to the same girl on the phone and she said it was not the delivery person and that it was on its way.
