When I go to any Chinese restaurant, I always order my plates by speaking in Chinese. They always served me authentic Chinese food, but NOT this one. Not only that, the dishes I ordered last night were NOT even Chinese at all. I ordered a stir-fried beef flat rice noodles and Yeung Chau fried rice.
When I first looked at the noodles dish, it was definitely not the one that I would have ordered from anywhere else. I took a bite. It was tasteless. There was not enough seasoning at all.
Worst of all, the fried rice was not fried rice. It was some mushy white rice mixed with every kind of meat, including Japanese imitated crab meat, which was not supposed to be in this fried rice dish. Basically, a typical Yeung Chau fried rice ingredients did NOT exist in this dish at all. I had never had any bad experience in any Chinese restaurant. Occasionally, there may be 1 or 2 with bad service. But the food had never been as terrible as this one.
I definitely will NOT spend...
Read moreService: One of my favorite lunch dish is the pork BBQ boneless ribs with fried rice. I came to Mings flavor while in the neighborhood. Upon arrival the restaurant was clean and tables are wipes, I was greeted and ask what I would like, the quickly showed me a menu and I order the dish. Within paying and sitting down at a table my food was ready in a estimate 3-5 minutes. That made me suspicious of the quality of freshness in the ribs and but I know the rice always are pre cooked and in a warmer.
Taste: The taste is as expected from a 3-4 min order, no flavor in rice and the ribs were overlooked and taste like a warmed up dish that is drenched in sauce.
Price: Looking at the rest of the menus it is a little more costly than other local Chinese but having a order from the lunch special my dish cost under $5.
Over all not the best place to eat locally but a can't say...
Read moreI've been going here for years. Normally it's quite good. A few weeks ago was probably the best I've ever had from them. Anxiously awaiting to have their food tonight after the awesome meal a few weeks ago, I began to eat my usual. General tso that was so over cooked, dry, crunchy/chewy and hardly any sauce. Veggie dumplings that were not fully cooked and couldn't be eaten. Egg roll that was over cooked and dry. Wonton soup that was just nasty and a bag of stale fried noodles.
Years of going there and on average being mostly pleased. Tonight's meal was so horrible I couldn't eat much of it and tossed it out. I can't in good faith ever trust them again after this meal was so terrible. I can't think of a single meal I've ever had that was worse.
Farewell Ming. Over a decade of getting your food ruined...
