Pizzaiolos — Restaurant in Town of Glenville

I think this is hands down the best pizza in the area. It actually tastes like NY style pizza with thin crispy crust, great tomato sauce and the perfect cheese blend. I always get the personal cheese pizza with garlic knots, and it’s the best! The garlic knots are crispy on the outside and doughy and delicious on the inside. I also think they are the perfect size, as sometimes the larger ones you get elsewhere always seem to be more dry. I can’t speak to the rest of the menu, but my go to favorite has always been consistent, fresh and delicious. The first time I tried them out, closer to the time they opened, I feel like the recipe was slightly different. It was still delicious, but there was something uniquely different/good about the sauce, and/or dough. I could be totally wrong, but if they did change it, they have certainly perfected it! I will also say that the staff who run/own it have been super nice and friendly every time, which unfortunately is becoming a more rare these days. My only one complaint, and this is very minor, I wish they were open later (close at 8pm) especially on the weekends. Other than the hours it’s awesome and worth checking out. Finally we get a great pizza place in Scotia! I called and ordered a pizza for pickup and the gentleman on the phone was super nice and respectful! Prices were very fair! I ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza, waffle fries and garlic knots. The pizza was delicious, I really liked the taste of the cheese and the sauce and also they had the crumbly sausage instead of the sliced sausage which is a bonus for us. I also really like the crust of the pizza! The waffle fries were really crispy which is awesome because usually by the time it gets home they're all soggy and hot from steam and condensation from the packaging. The garlic knots were really delicious full of butter and garlic that you can actually taste. I wasn't a fan of the marinara it did have a slight bitter taste to it. We ordered a small pizza and sub tonight. Decided to do something different and order the Asian Chili pizza and it was really good. However, the turkey sub we got was, and should be an embarrassment. There is a lot of potential for the sub if it had any turkey on it! Instead, it was the most expensive sub roll I’ve ever seen. After looking at other reviews, it seems like someone had a similar experience with the roast beef sub.

We’ve had the pizza a few times, as well as the wings, and they have always been fantastic, but this oversight should be corrected. There is a level of expectation from a pizzeria sandwich and this fell very flat (literally). In my experience, patrons don’t give much more than two chances. You guys have a good thing going and you’re close by. Please address this so my family and I keep coming back for year and years to come.
