Fong Xing — Restaurant in Town of Greenburgh

I recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. The service was decent, and the staff were polite, but the overall dining experience left much to be desired. The food quality was not up to par. The food preparing area are not clean and appeared filthy, which raised concerns about hygiene, and the food itself didn’t seem clean as well. I noticed some unappetizing elements that made me question the restaurant's attention to food safety.

I was hoping for a more flavorful and fresh meal, but the food didn’t have the vibrant taste I expected. It felt like the ingredients were either poorly prepared or not stored correctly.

I would give this zero stars if I could... I ordered Sesame Chicken from Fong Xing. My family ate the food we ordered right in their restaurant. Within 3 hours I was throwing up horribly - suffering from all the usual food poisoning symptoms for the next 48 hours. It is tempting to say this could have been from lots of things, but the reality is Xing's was the only thing I had to eat that afternoon. Restaurants make decisions around how to handle food every day. As a result of Xing's choices my family will never go back...

It’s a take-out place. If you want atmosphere, go to a sit-down restaurant. The food is fresh and decent. I like their Szechuan tofu (mapo tofu). Shrimp dishes offer plenty of fresh shrimp and vegetables. Would avoid the usual fried/saucy/goopy dishes. The diet menu is good and the wonton soup is awesome with 10 wonton per quart.
