Disappointing – Poor Customer Service Over a Simple Mistake I ordered a pizza and two orders of medium wings from Caputo’s on a busy Friday night, expecting a solid meal for hungry guests. Unfortunately, when I got home—30 minutes away—I discovered the wings had no sauce. Not a drizzle, not a trace—just oily, flavorless chicken. It was letdown for everyone waiting to eat. I called the shop and spoke with the manager, who asked me to text her a photo of the wings to confirm. I did. Her response? Since there was sauce on the rim of the tin in the photo (it was just oil), they could offer a credit for half the wings. I explained again—these wings were completely bare and flavorless. Her final answer: I talked to the owners and that’s the best we can do. Still trying to give them a chance to make things right, I went in person the following Monday. I asked to speak with a manager, and one woman reluctantly stepped forward before telling her coworkers she was “done with people today”. Another woman who happened to be the same manager I had texted with stepped forward. I calmly re-explained the situation—20 wings, no sauce—and got the same answer: the owner insists there was sauce and the most they would do is credit me for 10 wings. Eventually, they did give me cash back for 10 wings, but here’s the thing: at no point did anyone apologize or take responsibility. They seemed more interested in proving I was wrong than fixing a clear mistake. I wasn’t asking for a full refund and I would have been fine with a credit for the 20 wings—or any other fair resolution. Instead, I was met with indifference, deflection, and a poor resolution. Disappointing food happens. It’s how a business responds that makes the difference. Unfortunately, Caputo’s failed on that front. Good thing there’s plenty of other great business to support in the area!

There are a lot of pizzerias in Clifton Park. So individuals have a wide variety of pizzerias to choose from. I have ALWAYS liked Caputos Pizza, until this one experience. I think if restaurants are going to offer coupons, particularly coupons with NO expiration date, then restaurants should in good faith, honor all their coupons. I was stuck at home one Friday evening and my neighbor offered to stop on her way home from work, to pick up a pizza at Caputo's. She said she had a coupon, and she'd called the pizza in, just before she left work. The next thing I know, she's calling me back on the phone telling me how rude the owner of the restaurant was because he was NOT going to honor the coupon, then went on to say (YELL): "IT WAS NOT THEIR COUPON!!!" That's funny, because she took a picture of the coupon and she text it to me. LOOKS LIKE A CAPUTO'S COUPON TO ME!!!!! There's no reason to yell at a customer on the phone because you don't want to honor the coupon. Good grief, just come out and say that, rather than saying that it's NOT your coupon. She was physically holding the coupon good for Caputo's Pizzeria (see the photo below). I don't think we'll be patronising that restaurant anymore. There was NO reason to treat my girlfriend that way. If you don't want to honor coupons that are truly YOUR coupons, put a freaking expiration date on it!!!!!

I was expecting MUCH more because I went to this place solely on the reviews- I mean what good food can you find anyway at Clifton Park - a highway intersection drop off for people taking breaks for their trips down south. This place was CRAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP and I mean crap, take a look at some of the reviews and one guy says - and I quote "and I have been to italy and live in New York, and I know what a good slice tastes like, and the cheese at this place likens to that I have tasted in ROME" - WUTTTT!! this pizza was CHEAP and I mean CHEAP TASTING but NOT CHEAP IN YOUR WALLET! I payed 23 dollars for a small 6 slice pizza with vegitables on it, so I was expecting to taste heaven for gods sakes, but NOOO do not go here unlesss you want to barf, cuase literally I just ate some of the pizza cause I was starving and I am at a hotel and just paid for it, so I had to eat some of it, and I feel SICK I feel very sick EUKKK, cheap cheap food, cheap cheese cheap crust, cheap vegitables - I literally went to this restaurant solely based on reviews cause I have never been to Clifton park before. I mean the place is near saratoga race park, youd think that food at clifton park would be good- EVERY NIGHT i have had terrible food!! literally, euk, that saigon place was terrible, now this one! and the night before thata I had chilapo or whatever its called that was good and I got a compliment about my dress at the food place so I liked that, but I mean thats a chain so you usually cant go wrong with chains if you like them! Man I must live in a nice place because I have tasted so much better food, pizza everything than this and the reviews I got. the pizza here was greazzzzyy and nasty, eu its just sitting in my stomach rotting away laksjdlkfj plus the lady treated me like I was dumb, remember the pizza was 23 dollars!!!!!! I am going to the saratoga race park event and youd think there would be better food within 20 miles of it, but noooo!

the only good thing about clifton park is the comfort suites, I have a beauitiful suit and a pool for 109 dollars, I got a deal, but still great considering the local hampton in was...

After moving to Clifton Park, I had many an unhappy experience in search of good pizza. My search is over. Caputo’s is the bomb. If you’re looking for great food and friendly servers, do stop in. It is a pizzeria, but it has full dinner and catering menus, as well- good stuff, like Nonna used to make, stuff like pasta fazool and broccoli rabe with sausage (mild or hot) on cavatelli. Two things you won’t find if you are looking for them- fancy atmosphere and wine. The dining area has simple tables and chairs, both standard and tall pub style. You’ll find no checkered table cloths, waiters in tuxes, or strolling violinists. The only beverages are soft drinks which you select from a cooler. If you want a family Sunday dinner but just didn’t feel like cooking (and you know that you shouldn’t when you feel that way- it comes out in the food), but you gotta have your wine to go with it, Caputo’s can fix everything for take out. Problem solved. If you just want a slice, or two, for lunch or a snack, be prepared to be freakin’ delighted. Caputo’s crust is not at all soggy. The top is not greasy. There is no tip droop, AND you can select your slice(s) from a dozen choices! There are plenty of selections for both carnivores and vegetarians. On my stop I had a red slice with eggplant and roasted red pepper and a white slice with ricotta. I was so happy. Don’t you deserve to...
