HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE..Let me start off by saying I have been to this bar many times in the past 2 years. The reason I have continued to visit this bar is the fact that it is very laid back and THE most UNjudgemental bar I have encountered in the capital region. Everything from the pricing, service, and hours have been on point. I have enjoyed this place so much that I specifically even became an APA (American Pool Association) member. I have experienced nightlife all around the world especially North America and Europe. Never have I experienced a bartender as rude as Megan at Trick Shots in Clifton Park. I still can not pin point what her reason was to be so toxic towards me. As soon as she read my name on my driver license she gave me a dirty look and made me feel uncomfortable. My buddy was visiting from Europe so as soon as we got to the bar (around 1:05am) we wanted to celebrate his arrival. We proceeded in ordering 2 shots each while we played pool at the bar area (which Megan handed us with much attitude). I then politely asked her for a third shot for my buddy and I (they closed at 2am). Megan immediately gave us this disgusting look and howled at us that we need to relax and wait. Even tho she said they are closing soon I did not want to start a conflict as we are all there to have a good time so I said okay and continued to play pool. I do not want to be a rat but while this was happening Megan was continuously flirting with 2 male customers and drinking shots of some mixed drink behind the bar with them. After about 15 minutes I came back to the bar counter and politely made eye contact to get Megan's attention and asked her again "is it okay for us now to be served a shot each?". Again Megan gave us this disgusted look and said "you guys are done, I am cutting you off.". I have no idea why she proceeded to inflict such hatred towards us. Maybe it was because she was drinking while on the job or because we had foreign names. I honestly do not care at this point as it ruined the entire night for me and my guest. If the owner sees this could you please email or call me at their convenience to discuss this matter. I am sorry but I can not allow someone like this to work here and ruin the Trickshot experience that I have grew to love. Again this place is great don't get me wrong, but please take a look at your employees that work there...
Read moreReview for Wicked: Honestly disappointing. It's been talked up by friends so much we decided to go in. Weds afternoon at 4 p.m. 9/18/2019 Sat outside in the nice fall air. Took 15 mins to even be seen. Given more than ample time to peruse menu. Ordered and it seemed like forever to be served. Once it came, it was very cold. French dip with fries and a basket of 4 horsemen tots. Cheese was melted on both but hard. Fries literally cold. We don't blame the kitchen. It looked very good to the eye and smelled good. It was flat out cold. Our concern was the staff on the floor seemed more concerned about their gossip and kids (spoken very loudly) and guys sitting at the bar yet never checked on us. We had to ask a different server, not the person who waited on us, to remedy our lunch. We couldn't find her. It was brought back to us 25 mins later and it was much warmer but definitely not hot. The roast beef used in the French dip was beyond well done. It was grey, dry, and rubbery. Not a nice mid rare to mid temp. Not at all a prime rib used in such a sandwich and unmelted American cheese slices slapped on top. Fries were good. Good seasoning and portion. 4 horseman tots were warmer but again. Cheese was cold and not stringy when you pulled some out of the basket. Hit and miss bbq sauce under it. Seemed disjointed from the start. Never came back to ask us how the second attempt fared.
Only stopped to get card for payment after we finished less than half of the entrees. Again, we don't particularly blame the kitchen but rather the speed/service once it was prepped and ready to serve. We felt as though we were an afterthought in the entire experience. Wouldn't recommend at this point unless the second trip is better during dinner time or weekends. Definitely not interested in going back during weekday mid hours. They comped the 4H without us asking for anything to be comped but it was still a negative experience based on how little any care was shown us for their lack of attention and service.
Nothing would've needed to be comped had the staff just paid attention to the guests rather than stand within 10 ft. of guests chatting gossip and kids while guests entrees got cold waiting...
Read moreNot happy at all with Trick Shot pool hall in Clifton Park. We went last night for a night out with friends. Played pool for a little over 2 hours and got a couple drinks (4 amongst the 4 of us - 2 whiskey sours, 1 sex on the beach, and a hard cider). Well it was super busy and crowded and dark by the counter when we went to leave around 9:30 so we didn't really take the time to scrutinize the bill we were given and just paid quickly to get out of the way and free up the table as there were no open tables left at that point. Today I was talking about how pricy it was so we took another look at the receipt and we were charged for 2 drinks that we didn't order that cost an extra $21 between the two of them. There were 6 drinks listed total, including a tall gin ($9) and tall vodka ($12). I called today to explain the error and try to get it rectified and was told by a guy named Josh that basically tough luck, that thats why they provide the bill before you pay. After expressing how ridiculous that was, the guy said that there wasn't any real way to prove we didn't get them. I said they should ask the girl at the counter who put in our drink orders and served them to us but of course she conveniently only works Friday evenings and won't even be there next Friday so by the time she's next in, she of course will not remember us. The guy finally said that MAYBE he could give us a partial credit 'or something' if we came back in like the next week but why would I want to come back and spend MORE money at a place that ripped us off in the first place? His reason for why we couldn't be refunded was that "someone had to pay for the drinks". Umm yeah, whoevers drinks they actually were, or the girl who made the mistake and put them on our bill! Not us who didn't order or receive those particular drinks. So if you're going to go, make sure to fully analyze your bill before paying. Not sure I want to patronize a place again that offered such poor...
