Mariella's Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Town of Haverstraw

I always take stars away for certain things in this case it was 1 service and 1 for quality of food. Was passing by this little town while at work at saw a pizza spot so I gave them a try. I walk in there is 1 guy behind the counter and another walking around. I wasn’t greeted and I was the only person at the counter. The guy just looked at me and said “yea”… we’ll ok then. I asked if they had fresh blue cheese to put on my Buffalo slice if I ordered it and he said yes. I asked for it to be warmed up not to hot and to serve it on a plate since I had planned to eat it as I left. He served it to me sooo hot and cooked the credit had become over baked and to crunchy which I don’t like and it was the last Buffalo so I just took it. The blue cheese he gave me in a small cup and really wanted it on top but that’s not too major. While waiting I asked to use the restroom and the guy said let me get the key, he then spoke to the other guy about the key abs he came back to tell me someone must have locked the key inside so no bathroom. Overall I wasn’t please with the service and in a stickler for places that say “Restaurant” because to me that gives a higher level of expectation and this place failed to deliver. Unfortunately there isn’t another pizzeria close by to this one so if your ever in this town you’ll have to hold off at least 10-20 min to drive to another area with better service and food and lastly the slice was ehh I would give it a 5 out of 10 it’s not the quality of chicken I’m use to getting down in Long Island and it was burnt sooo. Update 2/3/21: Still my favorite, even more now since returning to eating in & my weekly stop.. The absolute best Margherita & also veggie pizza in the county, fresh veggies & thin, perfect crisp crust. Yesterday had lunch/dinner with chicken parm, first time, I'm fussy & this was perfection in every way! Lucky as a non-driver I have this gem in my neighborhood!!

What a gem of an affordable, fantastic Italian restaurant ! Best people and amazing chicken francais. Linguini not swimming in butter like everywhere else thinks they have to drown pasta😁 can't wait to actually try their pizza! And take my son when he's visiting for a relaxing, fantastic...

Rude disrespectful people yes! If you order delivery, they almost always overcharge you if you give them your credit card they over charge five dollars more and then they upped the price without telling you and refuse to correct anything. Pizza comes late Pizza comes cold and yet the delivery driver who is often the cashier when you walk into the store looks at you like he should get $10 for a cold pizza. Sorry not gonna happen.
