Updated on 4/30/23* We just ordered the same exact meal to go because it was such a rainy day. They pack the broth separate from the bowl of ramen ingredients. You add it when you're ready. I can't stop eating the spicy chicken tan tan. It was absolutely delicious. Plentiful portions & perfectly hot.
I want to give a shout out to a cool little restaurant that I've been wanting to try in my hometown of North Bellmore. It's called 316 Ramen and it's located on Jerusalem Ave across from N. Shore Farms. I'm embarrassed to say that this was mine & my husband's 1st time trying ramen.🤦♀️ Well, we loved it! I ordered the Spicy Chicken Tantan Ramen because I love spicy food. The heat did not disappoint. My husband ordered the Chicken Ramen. The chicken was plentiful as were the noodles & vegetables. The portions were very generous & the broth was hot (temperature) and delicious. We ended up taking half home because we also ordered the vegetable spring rolls and shumai appetizers. The owner/chef Ivan & our waitress checked in on us throughout our entire meal and they were both really nice. The restaurant is fairly new this past year so he's just getting used to the neighborhood and is now advertising on the cover of the Pennysaver. We were able to use a 10% off coupon with a $25 purchase and got a free hot sake with an entree order. Please go check them out. The place is super clean and the service was perfect. I told him I was going to post on this page so if you go, please tell him Joanne sent you. I told him he needs to get the restaurants Facebook page started. I love to support these little...
Read moreWent here on a Sunday. Ordered a bunch of appetizers- fried octopus, pork bun, spring rolls & steamed shumai. ALL OF THESE WERE VERYYYY GOOD! I recommend ALL of them - hehehe
For entrees: chicken ramen, spicy miso ramen & tonkotsu ramen with fire bomb. If you are new to ramen and don’t know what to order - definitely go with the chicken. All three were absolutely delightful. If you want a bit of a kick the spicy miso is a great choice. Tonkotsu is more pork (which is not my cup of tea - but the Broth was mmm mmmmm yummy). The person I was with, really enjoyed that dish. As for the ramen - this place adds a good amount in your soup! Which was nice for a chance bc usually places skimp out on that part. The three of us will definitely be back!
The Hospitality is Excellent! The gentleman who worked there was very sweet and accommodating (as well as the woman who handled our food). We hope this place lasts and we will bring our friends! It is really nice to have a ramen spot in Nassau county without having t drive to queens or NYC. Thank you again for having us (I am sorry I didn’t take photos - next time I will). Definitely give this place a try!! You will...
Read moreI grew up on Long Island and then moved to Los Angeles and now Houston -- two true foodie towns. On a recent trip back to LI, I heard about a "great" ramen place on the Island and was skeptical. Well, I can now confirm the rumors are TRUE. This is surprisingly good ramen. Broth rich in umami flavor, firm noodles (not spaghetti), fresh ingredients. You can taste the love and care Ivan (owner, chef) puts into each bowl.
The restaurant is tastefully decorated in a nondescript strip mall. Not quite a hole-in-the-wall, but nothing to write home about either. But it's Sara's (co-owner) warm greeting and affectionate service that compliments the food.
I did not try any of the appetizers nor drinks, so I can't speak to those. Just good ramen at a...
