This evening, we opted for a dine-in experience at Addy’s BBQ, and the quiet atmosphere made it all the more enjoyable. It’s nice to have a peaceful dinner where you can truly savor the food and have great conversation.
One thing that always stands out here is their service—consistently top-notch. In a post-COVID world, I really appreciate the convenience of QR code menus. Not only is it seamless, but when dining with a group, it makes splitting the bill so much easier. Love that feature—please keep it going!
The food? Still as solid as ever. Tonight, we all went for the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and their signature mushroom gravy. It’s something I’ve had before, and the consistency is remarkable. I’ve been coming here for years, and one thing I’ve noticed is a bit of shrinkflation—understandable given the times. That being said, their portion sizes are still far better than most restaurants at this price point. Back in the day, the plates were absolutely massive; now, they’re slightly smaller, but you still leave feeling completely satisfied.
One of the reasons I continue to support Addy’s BBQ is because it’s a true halal establishment—not just the generic "halal chicken and rice," but everything on the menu. That alone makes it a gem in the community.
Now, let’s talk wings. Even though the wings themselves have shrunk a little (as has been the case everywhere), the quality and taste remain impeccable. Every time I order them, they come out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crispy. If you're looking for a solid appetizer, this is it.
Parking tonight was easy, though I know it can get tricky when they’re packed—but that’s the case with any great spot in this area. If you’re planning to visit during peak hours, just keep that in mind.
I also want to give a quick mention to their burgers. I didn’t get one today, but from past experience, they are juicy, flavorful, and always filling. Definitely worth trying if you're in the mood for one.
The only thing that gives me pause is the 18% auto-gratuity for dining in. I completely understand that the cost of running a restaurant has gone up, and businesses need to stay afloat. However, for some customers, it might make them reconsider coming in versus ordering takeout or going elsewhere. That’s just some honest feedback for the owners—at the end of the day, I truly want to see this place thrive.
Overall, Addy’s BBQ continues to deliver on service, food quality, and consistency. I’ll definitely be back, and I hope they continue to be a staple in the community.

This ended up being a last minute spot. Neither of us had any intention to go here but we were looking for something close by and not too expensive with great food. We looked at the photos on Yelp and the fact that it was Halal and we were sold. So we headed over and as you walk in you notice how amazing the decor is. I absolutely loved the atmosphere of the place. The wait staff is cordial and the food was absolutely amazing.
For starters we got a side of Mac n cheese, masala fries and jerk wings. The Mac n cheese was the best Mac n cheese I have ever had in my life. The only thing I think they can add is to have a variation with lobster Mac n cheese. Other than that it was perfect; right temperature right cheese consistency our entire table loved it. The wings were nothing special, they were good wings but you can only expect jerk wings to get so close to perfection if they are not from an authentic jerk spot. Lastly the Masala fries were told to be spicy but they had more of a subtle spice to it, almost similar to Cajun fries, which we loved nonetheless.
For the main courses we got filet mignon, rib eye, beef ribs and a Cajun chicken sandwich. Both the filet mignon and the rib eye came with a side of potatoes with gravy and grilled vegetables and both steaks were cooked as ordered which is sometimes tough in certain restaurants. My other friends who ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and the beef ribs enjoyed their entrees very much and you can imagine especially since they look so good !
The only thing I would want them to improve on is their wait staff. It’s something very small but small detail can make or break a business. We had asked our waiter to allow us time to finish our starters before bringing out that main courses which is exactly what he didn’t do. So as we were eating we were trying to scramble and make room on the table for the food and rush and eat the starters so the main course doesn’t get cold... which is exactly what I was afraid of. Eventually we didn’t have room so we used the table next to us to place some of the courses and dishes.
Lastly we asked for some of our food to be packaged to go, instead of taking our food to the kitchen to package the wait staff gave us the bins to package ourself. I normally wouldn’t bother commenting on this but since the food was so good I expected that extra level of service as well.
There menu has so many delicious items that you can’t possibly try them in one visit, I will definitely be back with company sooner than later.

Read moreMy expectations were high before I came to eat here with my dad and sister. Came here on Saturday around 8:30PM and asked for a table for three. There were two guys in front who told me there will be a table ready for me us within 5-10 min, and we can wait in our car till we are called inside. We went back in our car and waited over 25 minutes till I decided to go back in the restaurant and ask for our table status. Just my luck at that time there was another guy at the front desk (probably the manager or owner) who asked me, if I needed help. I said, “yes - I needed a table for three and was told to wait 5-10 min outside. He then asked me, do I have reservations? I told him no, but one of the employees already told me there will be a table ready for me and my family. He immediately got upset and confronted the employee if he said such a thing. Eventually he gave us a small two seater table. I then told him there are three of us and we won’t fit. He got upset and said there is nothing he can do; but in reality a bigger group came in, so he wanted to attend to them first - of course more people more money. At that point it was clear it didn’t matter who came first or last. One of the employees their actually felt bad and brought us another table to combine so we can all sit comfortably. As this was happening the manager/owner cameback and took one of the two small tables away. We were so embarrassed in front of everyone. At that point I just felt bad for my 70yr old father. Even though we wanted to leave, we decided to order anyway as we were hungry. The food took forever to come and once it did we ate very uncomfortable with NO space on our table to place our food properly. Also, my sister kept getting bumped into cause of the awkward position they placed the third chair. I personally recommend they get more employees and be a little more professional. The funniest part of all - there were so many empty tables on which they could’ve accommodated us with. All they had to do is clean them. The food wasn’t even that good for me to comeback and get treated like this ever again. Advice to Addys: hire more people and speed the service...
