Read moreI’d hoped to leave a good review for a local restaurant, but I can’t overlook the slow service, overpriced menu and poorly cooked meat. Waited at least 45 minutes for dinner to arrive and the steak for the surf and turf was burned outside and raw inside. We sent it back, but again, they brought out the meat undercooked and then we watched the waitress hand the third steak to another girl to bring to our table instead of doing it herself. Finally, it was edible- But the table was done eating and I was disappointed by the end result. When the check came, no manager came to apologize or offer to make amends for our trouble. The waitress gave us an attitude when we asked for a discount for waiting an hour for them to cook the steak correctly; it took 3 try’s. Instead of just saying “Sure, I understand, I’ll ask my manager”, she sounded annoyed and said “That’s not my call.” And took the check. I will say, she came back and said “the manager took 10% off”, but dropped the check with a bit of an attitude. Maybe it’s just me, I think a manager should’ve come out to speak to us, no?? The dishes were too pricey and small for a local restaurant on a back dead end street in Seaford. $42 for surf and turf, $11 for a small bowl of soup and $27 for a broiled “fisherman’s platter” that had an appetizer-sized amount of seafood on it. As we left, I asked another waitress who was the manager, she said they were in the kitchen. If the managers were in the kitchen as my meal was being screwed up, I didn’t want to pull them out and mess up someone else’s. It’s a shame these restaurants can’t find good help. The highlight of the meal was probably the bowl of lobster bisque soup and the nice waitress who apologized to me for our waitress. Unfortunately, I doubt we will...
Read morePicked this place because it was central to a group of friends, and that it was on the water. Many pros and only one con. First off, the food was delicious! I had grilled Branzino with lemon and summer veggies. It was the first time having this fish and it’s now my new favorite. Others had the blackened swordfish over Cajun rice (with sausage and shrimp), seared wasabi tuna with noodles, and a salad & lobster bisque. I think if it weren’t bad manners, we’d all be licking our plates. Second Pro is the ambience…it was practically perfect. It’s a quiet dead end street, and small enough to be quaint. The service was good also. Now for the con. When I called to make reservations I specifically mentioned that we had a wheelchair in our party. When we all met in the parking lot it was all gravel and not one designated handicap spot in the entire lot. My friend has. A van with a ramp and had to finagle a spot so he could get out of the van and not have far to get to the entrance. I’m this day and age, I would think every establishment would have designated handicap parking. Aside from this, we all agreed it was a great choice and would...
