Their presentation of the food is excellent. The food is not something I would go back for. All the food had too much masala and that's all you can taste. All of the lamb dishes are way over cooked, our lamb chops took over 35 minutes to come and were basically rubber. The lamb maas, a curry dish was NOT lamb maas, I think this chef needs to learn what the dish actually is, and again was completely over cooked. They are under staffed with people who don't have any experience, and don't care but are very good at telling you that you have to leave. They served the main meal and 20 minutes later told us that they need the table. Then they asked us if we want dessert (the rose kulfi just looks good tastes like nothing, zero flavor), we ordered and the waitress brings the dish and the check and tells us we need to leave because people are waiting for the table. We were only there for ninety minutes before being ushered out. Did i mention that trying to order anything, including drinks, takes forever. Akash the"manager" acts like he doesn't care how they treat people, oh he's also the only bartender and us the reason the drinks, are delivered slow. Absolutely zero reason to go back. They might think that are a fancy place from the City and their arrogance and attitude will carry them, but they are basically another restaurant in a strip mall with garbage service, average at best food, and with good preservation of the food. Looks can be deceiving, and here they definitely are, I would not go back there and will be surprised if they survive the year once their novelty wears off. No...

Had dinner at Banjara last night. First things first, we in Long Island have been waiting for a restaurant like Banjara. It has a unique menu, it is 4-5 friends who together have opened their dream project. Whenever it came to Indian food on the island, it was always repetitive and always under represented India by not showcasing the variety Indian cuisine actually offers. This place did it all, the condiments were fresh, every dish was thoughtful and crafted well. I wish I could eat everything on the menu but I will come back for more and more. The food represents many different states of India. Now coming to what we ate:- They give us Chinese bhel Mumbai style with our drinks. We ordered beet and goat cheese chops which were really tasty and presented well. Chilly Chicken baos - Akash one of the co-owners told us it will taste like chilly chicken from Kolkata and it sure did. Lamb chops - juicy , succulent & absolutely outstanding. Butter chicken and Garlic naan, simply the best on Long Island, I felt I was transported back to Delhi. For dessert we had Trisum which was absolutely delicious, it had this fresh not overly sweet filled with cardamom taste.

Akash & Rohit , two of the owners educated us about the items and the passion with which they served the food was something that will make people go back again and again. We Long Islanders have been cribbing way too long about how we don’t have NYC kind of Indian food, but it has arrived, now it’s on them to keep it consistent and for us...

It was such an amazing experience of desi foods in NY. The aroma of Jafran in almost every dish (even in the Thandai) was so rich! We group of 4 went there around 10:30pm in a Saturday night and they were all full. We waited 10 minutes to get the table and it’s a cozy nice spot. They served amazing complementary which is papri chat and it was absolutely delicious. We ordered their Jhol MoMo & dosa from non veg option and tasted fresh & delicious. Then we ordered Lamb chop, which is the best amongst all. They serve it within hot pot. It comes with amazing mash potatoes and we really love it that we ordered another one. we also ordered their Butter Chicken and Dal makhani which were normal and okay. We got their Nalli Biriyani which is flavorful & good. Their Keema Kulcha from bread was delicious too. For dessert we tried their Rose Kulfi which served with pretty unique way and tasted good too. As we are non-alcoholic, we tried their Tandai drink which was awesome and much flavorful. Their meats are certified halal but they also serve alcohol. Foods were fresh and service was really good too. I forgot to ask the server name but she was really nice and it was her first day. To the Owner, please keep the chef....
