Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I am a customer who will frequent this Carvel because the staff is usually nice and friendly. I went tonight with my three children to get the $.90 ice cream cones. When we entered, there was one person behind us and we let them go in front because we were making up our choices. When It was one of my children ordered and paid with his money. The other one was making the decision on what to buy. A worker in his late 50s with a potbelly came out and yelled at us for being there for 20 minutes and they needed to help others. My son was extremely upset and ended up leaving. He had no patience for children with disabilities and who need to take their time making choices. When I moved to Virginia nearly 8 years ago, there was one Carvel store, but unfortunately for me, it closed soon after. I recently took my first trip to NY since my move, and chocolate Carvel was high on my list of things I needed. The owner of this store is very, very nice. He has the full line of Carvel products served up in a covid-safe system. Other staff members who served me were just as friendly, professional, and careful. Hands down the best Carvel I have ever been too. The owner is so nice and friendly and loves seeing people happy enjoying their ice cream treats. Prepackaged treats are always freshly made and the cakes can be made to order with whatever flavors and filling you’d like.
