⭐️ Seriously Disappointed After a 2-Hour Drive—Rude Staff and MAJOR Health Hazard! ⭐️ If I could give zero stars, I would.

My boyfriend and I drove two hours one way because Buzz Express Coffee kept popping up all over my feed, and I was dying to try the viral salted maple drink. Let me tell you, the drive was the best part of this experience.

When I got to the speaker, the woman working was immediately hostile and impatient. She couldn't hear me (even though I spoke clearly), and instead of being professional, she just told me to "just drive up to the window so I can hear you." (Very nastily.) When I finally reached the window, I told her how excited we were and told her how far we came to visit this shop, she did not care. Fine. I asked for the salted maple drink I drove all this way for, and she snipped that it was a "last month's drink" and unavailable. Okay, again, fine, seasonal menus happen & I get it, but when I politely asked for a recommendation since we came so far, she literally rolled her eyes at me and just said, "Our whole menu is popular, pick something from there." Absolutely zero effort or customer service. I asked the young woman (I wish I asked for her name, she had brown hair with shaved sides, all I can remember to describe her) if I could speak to her boss or a manager, she said hold on while she gets him but when she came back to the window, he miraculously "wasn't there anymore". Clearly, he did not want to deal with me, so the owner doesn't care about customer service either.

We settled for a pumpkin spice cold brew with cold foam just to salvage the trip. They told us to "pull up to that spot" and they'd bring it right out. We waited almost 8 minutes for two iced drinks.

Finally, we get to the disgusting discovery (which is the real problem): I drank all the foam and was looking into the cup when I noticed something truly disgusting. There wasn't much ice for whatever reason, but almost every single one had a black, frozen mass right in the middle. It was clearly mold. It was repulsive and a major health violation. I also was looking in the window while I ordered, and it looked so dirty and gross in the store, I don't know why the molded ice surprised me but it did. I didn't finish my drink and neither did my boyfriend, who thankfully only had two sips of his before we noticed the mold. (It was in the ice of both drinks). This place is viral, but based on the service and the fact they are serving drinks with moldy ice, they need a serious intervention. Rude staff and unsanitary conditions are not worth a two-hour drive or even a two-minute drive. Save your time and your stomach. By the way, I did contact the department of health but because of the government shut down, they emailed me back and said they can help me when they re open and to give them a call whenever that is, which I will be doing.

I always have had extremely friendly baristas that I tip generously. She should not be in customer service especially at a coffee shop, where the vibes are supposed to be peaceful, calm and pleasant. I recently started a rotation in the area and came by Buzz’d for an early morning coffee and egg bites. I wasn’t expecting to be so impressed!

For my gluten free friends, the menu is clearly labeled, keeping you safe and making the order process easier. I would be mindful about flavors of the month or some of the signature flavors and ask first before ordering. The staff is knowledgable and help you out which brings me to the service..!

I always come around 7am, a time where service at other places may not be the best.. But the employees at Buzz’d are always awake, kind, and bring the energy you need at 7am! I’ve asked questions about flavor suggestions and things before and they are always very helpful and kind.

The coffee never disappoints. Their flavors of the month have been absolutely insanely good, completely replicating what they were trying to achieve in coffee form. They have many unique flavor options such as french toast and rainbow cookie. The cinnamon bun latte FOTM with a cream cheese cold foam was so on point 👌👌

The food is great too. They have two selections of egg bites: veggie and meat lovers. Both taste like they are freshly made and don’t have that frozeny taste other places have. Their veggie egg bites are my favorite before a long day. I am going to try their yogurt parfait next time!
