Ciro's Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

My mother and I had lunch there today. We had chicken parm heros. They were fine. We stayed and you have to pick up your own order and take it to your table. I wasn’t thrilled about that, but that’s how they do things there - I suppose. Upon paying and receiving a bag for half of a left over sandwich, the old man who I can only surmise is the owner proceeds to ask the cashier if we paid and restates our order. Not only was that tacky and offensive, it was rude. How did I get the paper bag for my left overs if I hadn’t paid?? The bags are behind the counter with the cashier. I put my mother into the car and went back and that unpleasant clown was now nowhere to be found. I informed the guy at the register that I would appreciate it if he told that rude old man that he was offensive, rude and inappropriate. I also said we won’t be returning and that he is a stupid person who knows nothing about how to treat customers. The nerve… Is business THAT slow? Avoid this place. Take the drive to Paradiso in Rockville center. The food is MUCH better and they l know how to treat their customers. Plus, it’s a much nicer looking place. Instead of being rude and having obnoxious and loud conversations where the customers can hear it all, go invest in an etiquette course. Although I doubt it will help. If I could give this place a negative star, I would. Generic food and you’re rude?...

I decided to try this place when i got there a older man (look like the supervisor/ manager) came to the counter as I entered I requested 2 of the vegetable bun I asked if I could tip through the machine he said yes. He then checked the prices and told me $13, I then handed my card in his hand and after swiping he slammed card on the counter top I was looking at him thinking its so disrespectful and then he did the same with the receipt to sign. After I signed and tip I made a mistake by signing the wrong part so he took the receipt and started doing something on the computer.. after he was done he took my order out the oven and threw it on the counter and walked off before I could even ask for napkins... I was so disgusted by the service there and I will never return or recommend to anyone... People deserve good services even tho I was the only black person inside the restaurant. Im spending money so I deserve to be...

The food is delicious but we have seen a decline in service just over the last few weeks.

We have ordered with Ciros for years now. We used to have a very friendly lady answer the phone for orders. She would offer coupons and was always polite and very easy to order with.

This time, we ask about coupons and get an extremely rude response. “Who told you about coupons? We haven’t done those for weeks.” Um, okay we understand. No need to get nasty. We are spending over $80 on our order, the least you could do is be kind.

Then once receiving our food we did not receive a part of our order. We were left on hold for over 5 minutes just to try and resolve the issue.
