Crown Deli — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I have been a customer at this deli since they opened but I will never return. As always, I called in my order before going to pick up my food. This time, an employee that never answers the phone took my order and was extremely rude. I acknowledged his condescending and aggressive tone, he disregarded my complaint, and continued to take my order. I am pregnant and didn’t plan to pick up the order personally but felt I had to complain to the manager. When I arrived at the deli, I recognized the voice of the employee at the register but of course he denied his disgraceful behavior. I then asked for the manager 3 times before a man standing right next to us claimed that he was the owner. I proceeded to tell him what happened but it was evident that he only cared about other customers hearing my complaints. I told the “owner” that I would not return to the deli if that was the treatment that I was getting a customer, he replied “you can leave”. The food is ok but will never be good enough for a paying customer to feel disrespected and disregarded. I will never return to this deli it could’ve stayed closed. Every time I go to this store the cappuccino is watery. (This first time I went the woman was more polite and respectful ) but today the guy managing the orders was rude for no reason. I asked for a spoon or a stirrer because there was nothing to stir the coffee and he looked at me and asked me for what... Then he saw for himself there was nothing there. When I tasted the drink it was watery so I poured it out. He comes over to me questioning why I did what I did after he gave me a spoon, in an unnecessarily rude manner.... I didn't understand why he was addressing me in this manner, and told him I didn't know it was going to be watery. He fixed the machine but I no longer wanted the drink. When it was time to pay for my food and bottled juice I wanted the cost was $14.50, I gave $20.50. The rude guy whispers to the man ringing me up and he only gives me back $5... I chose to leave and not make a big issue over $1. The cooks are great but that specific man in the black shirt, I wish I knew his name, has terrible...

I was so excited to find a deli by my house instead of me going to Queens or me to go to Valley Street. The food is good but the service when the lady is not there, it’s horrible. The man sees me standing in front of him, trying to get my order this man decides he wants to skip me for other people and they wanna tell me hold on. I’m coming to you. I’m standing right in front of you. I’m trying to get my order. You’re ignoring me so guess what I ain’t coming back I ain’t coming back because that’s not the first time the men have done that to me And then they are disgusting on the phone when you call just a man when the woman is there. They’re on their best behavior but when the woman is not there, they are disgusting. I won’t be coming back. I’m so disgusting. I’m not coming back. Poor...
