We were there for a 45th birthday party. The service was excellent. We were in the outdoor/indoor area and had about 30 people there. Scott was on top of everything... and now knows what a John Daly is! The food was absolutely amazing. The drinks were flowing. I can't wait to go there when I can order what I want and not what we had (even though everything was great) because, as previously stated, it was a party. I was foolish not to take pictures of the first few courses because everyone was starving, so I couldn't get a picture quick enough. We started with a thin brick oven (and must have wood burning) pizza, then out came baked clams. They make it almost as good as my mother's... they use panko as opposed to my mother, who uses regular breadcrumb and then the calamari. They serve the squiggly's too, which I love. Then a salad with what I'm guessing was a house made Italian dressing. The next was a trio of entrées that came out, and it was Penne ala vodka, Chicken Francaise, and Shrimp Francaise. The vodka suace was good and plenty of prosciutto. The francaise both were amazing. The chicken was so soft you could cut with a fork, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Then out came a dessert platter with cannoli, éclairs, pinoli cookies, napoleon's, and a few other things that I couldn't see because the were grabbed out of the plate before I could see it. It is definitely a place that I would love to go back to. The place was lit well and is right on the water so it really is a nice area. My only gripe about the place is the parking. They have a small lot in front of the place, but there are "No Parking" signs everywhere on the surrounding streets of the building. There is another establishment across the street, and if both these places are hopping, then I'd suggest taking an Über. Food - great Service - excellent Atmosphere- awesome Parking - ehhh

We had our son's Christening at Grandpa Tony's this past Sunday. Joe and his crew were super friendly and helpful. The bartenders Jay and Gia made amazing drinks all night. Everyone of our guests were saying how delicious the food was, and how amazing the staff was. As the ones hosting the party, Joe was super nice and friendly from the get go. He was very easy to deal with. The party room was perfect size. The outdoor balcony was great for smokers and for those who wanted to get fresh air with a nice view of the canal. Honestly, I can't imagine a better place to have party at in the area.

Always a great time to be had here. The staff is attentive, the food is very good and the drinks are great. I've been there for work functions, happy hours and girl get- togethers and for take out. They have also accommodated large groups as we showed up without reservations. They have a second floor that has a spacious party room. Plenty of meter parking right at its door and all around it, near the water.

A Local Treasure – Grandpa Tony’s is Everything a Family Restaurant Should Be

Grandpa Tony’s holds a special place in our hearts. It’s not just one of the best family-friendly restaurants around, it’s a true community staple. The food is consistently great, the waterfront atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it’s the kind of place where families gather and memories are made.

Our own daughter even worked there during high school, and we got to see firsthand what an incredible family runs this place. They pour their heart into everything they do—from the food to the way they treat their staff and guests.

Whether you’re grabbing a casual weeknight meal, celebrating something special, or just want to enjoy a night out where everyone feels welcome, Grandpa Tony’s delivers consistently. We’re proud to support a place that does things...

I didn't know I was having dinner at a discotheque , music upstairs was pounding, kids from party room screaming and running in the 1st floor dining area. The food was NOT good.. we read great reviews by many we were excited then disappointed, Mussels in White wine shriveled up as if under a broiler and sauce so so salty.. linguini and white clay sauce no exaggeration I make better at home very watery almost no taste. My Wife's chicken Scarpiello loaded with potatoes too many as a filler small chucks of chicken not much. The owner if he's reading this should go to Umbertos in Elmont and order the same dishes and taste them then eat his.. he would then understand. We spent $90.00 for two but never again...very disappointed and my name is SERGE LEMITE IF HE OR SHE...
