Häagen-Dazs — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

As a new mom, it’s hard to go out, let alone go out and get “schooled” by an old miserable man who calls himself the manager.

Entered the mall, early Saturday morning, thought to myself to treat myself with a coffee. So I went to the nearest shop, which happens to be Häagen-Dazs and in my experience with other locations, they serve coffee. I asked the gentleman if they served ice coffee - this man who’s playing loud Haitian TV on his phone, watching his phone, not looking up says “No”. I asked him well what is that Coffee flavored drink on the TV, “it’s a milkshake” he said … still not looking up. At this time, I really wanted something to drink so I said I’ll have it. He went to make it, still listening to his show (P.S I know it’s a Haitian show because I understand the language). While he’s charging me, I asked how much and he said it’s on the screen. Me in shock, just said “wow that’s $10” and he’s like “why you asking me, why didn’t you read the menu before asking to order, you should look at the menu”. Now I’m more in shock because #1 it’s early, #2 why is this grown man yelling at me, telling me I should’ve looked at the menu before asking to order and not to ask him questions, so I asked him why is he yelling so early in the morning & is this how he treats his customers. The man started to yell even louder that my newborn was even looking at him in confusion, and started to say he’s the manager and he’s been doing this for 22 years.

Honestly, I thought he was just having a bad morning but looking at the reviews, he just has a bad attitude. Will not be returning here ever again.

Häagen-Dazs, please give your employee more training on how to address customers … especially if they’re in...

Older Indian lady and older black gentleman have major attitude problems. Very rude and unkind. I ordered a fruit smoothie, literally only 5 seconds had passed. I quickly read the ingredients and realized it could be ordered without dairy, making it easier on my stomach. I asked her if I could get the non dairy option, she rolled her eyes, rudely asked me why I didn't ask for that in the first place, looking as if she wanted to rip my head off. She actually froze and stared at me, trying to intimidate me and get me to back down and drink the smoothie with dairy in it. Just lazy and unprofessional workers for the most part. Ok here’s the tea. My friend ordered ice cream and this man went and made a whole milkshake and was tight when he had to give her ice cream. It’s not my friends fault that he has hearing problems. Another time, I was waiting to pay for like ten minutes and they asked me, “Have you been served?” and i said,” No, I am waiting to pay.” and he literally said okay and stared at me for ten minutes. I was just like are you gonna ring me up or.... Also they charged my cousin $10.00 for a milkshake. I know that’s the normal price, but still..Mcdonald’s milkshakes taste better and they’re like a dollar lol. Yea i’m...
