TGI Fridays — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Just got back from a dinner date with my daughter. She wanted mac and cheese and she wanted to sit in a restaurant. Everything in there was a peeling from the bike that was on the wall above her head to the superwoman poster next to her. To get seated was very quick. However our server wasn't up to par. We actually got more than one server during the night.. I applauded her for correcting my drink without me letting her know. She brought over a spray and I had acts for a shirley temple. Yeah yeah I know it's not a big difference just some cherries in there... So I drank the sprite and didn't really make it a big deal. But I went on she remembered and she brought it over. So I couldn't be mad. However, I understood that there was a big order of people that came next door to us... But in the midst of her serving them she forgot about serving us. Thankfully someone helped her out. Another staff member brought us all the things that we requested. And also refilled our drinks and took a partial order. She also brought it out. The food took a while to get there. My daughter was hungry and got impatient. But we managed. Our overall stay was an hour to 2 hours. Even getting the tab was a wait. I honestly felt like I could just walk out and no one would have noticed. But that's not me plus I have the little one with me. So we waited received the bills and tipped. The prices are high but that's like everything else. Just a kid's meal and my meal came up to over fifty five dollars. Will I come here again maybe. Only because the little one likes the way things look... Who knows maybe your experience would be better. I'm not saying completely shut them out and give them...

Finally getting a chance to write this review. I visited this restaurant for the first time since Covid and it was not the best experience. I sat at a table near the bar with my husband and grandchild and I noticed a light skin child with glasses sleeping at one of the high chair table tops. I was a bit concerned at first, then realized it’s the short bartender girl’s daughter. I only figured that out because I saw the interaction the child was having to get her mothers attention as she was working that night .It was a Friday late night with a dj in the corner from my view of the establishment with the music playing which didn’t bother me . What bothered me is that it was past 10 pm at night and there was a child asleep near the bar. I understand some people don’t have child care and parents may have to work to make money but this is definitely a child endanger situation. I wanted to call the police or even speak to the manager but my husband told me to just mind my business and grab the bill. The fact that this place would even allow this type of set up on a Friday night is disgraceful and disgusting. I will not be visiting this restaurant ever again especially if this is how young children are being treated . I’m going to just assume the mom didn’t have anyone to watch her young child and that she had to bring her daughter to work as she was maintaining the bar area . Service was great food was a bit salty and the waitress forgot my grand child’s apple juice but I was more concerned about the child falling asleep . I’m thoroughly disappointed with this location! I came in a literally last week 10/14/23 I asked for a margarita with reposado the waitress told me they were made with already (mental note) my drink taste like lemonade I ask for an additional shot the waitress brings me a whole new drink I proceeded to tell her that’s not what I asked for and was told this is what the bartender made number one I am a grown woman paying my money for something I expect what I ask for, food that was ordered came out wrong and cold and was still charged for the original drinks we did not drink, fast forward to 10/22/23 same waitress it was around 12:30 when I got there it’s advertised closing at 2 am as soon as we were seated we were told it was last call I was there same time the previous week last call was way later then 12:45 the manager asked that same waitress to take our order she was literally helping everyone but us, the MANAGER who already took our drink orders mind you he let me know that they do not have reposado (back to the mental note of what was in my drink the week before) took our orders I don’t like when my app and meal come out together and that’s basically what happened I felt so rushed out of that place I had acid reflux and have currently been sick since 3 am throwing up. The manager is the only reason I had even gotten any service at all! As a manager of a food establishment myself, I overstand, but food safety should always be top priority!
