update: well I went back again, placed an online order on a Tuesday at 11:10 and picked it up at 12. when I got back to my car I checked the order and I only received 5/13 of the correct items I ordered. I still got 13 items but I guess because it was about an hour or two before they close, they didn't want to make new cookies and just gave me whatever they had. they crossed off and changed the items on the receipt, so ngl I was a little pissed. I'd rather have gotten a refund or at least told they were out of some flavors so I could have picked something I'd actually like after paying extra for "speciality" ones. I just dealt with it but from a customer service standpoint it's a joke. 1/27/24: seeing as this place is relatively new to the area, I can't fault the trial and error issues from their first week of being open. I didn't know what I was getting into when I placed a mobile order on a Friday night. when I arrived, parking was lacking and police presence was heavy-ready to ticket ppl who double parked outside the store. the store is small and there was a line that stretched outside, with a bunch of people cramped inside. when I was finally able to get in, there were so many people chilling, I presume waiting for their orders. it made it difficult to get the workers attention, I had to squeeze between two groups of people to inquire about my pick up. first worker said it wasn't ready yet so I left and came back in about 10-15 minutes when I saw a bunch of people leave.. second worker I spoke to was sweet and told me they were getting my order together and let me know they were out of whatever so I got something else nbd. overall I had to wait just under an hour passed my pickup time, and the double chocolate cookie was stale, but otherwise everything was fresh & delicious and the workers were truly doing their best given the...
Read moreIf I could rate this place 0 stars I would. After a 12 hour hospital shift working with COVID patients, i wanted to respect the workers and customers and quickly get my cookies. Placed an online order through their website and scheduled for 4p pick up. Because of a change in my work schedule I couldn’t pick up the cookies on time. I tried calling the number on the website however it did not direct me to the Hempstead location as the prompt said there were technical difficulties.
I got to insomnia at 9p with a line of about 3 parties ahead of me with no employee at the register. We were quickly acknowledged by an employee but they kept going back into the back.
When I said I had a pick up order and explained my situation, the employee said “oh the order and cookies are old and probably threw it out”. No refund or email was given prior to them “throwing out my order”. When asked if it was on the side as it was not picked up, the employee said “the order was place before my shift. It wasn’t my shift so I don’t know”.
The manager came to speak to me and I told her what happened. Mid conversation the manager rolled her eyes and began to walk away. She stated I should have called the store to have her call IT. She also explained my order happened before her shift and refused to provide any solutions. No accountability was taken by her or any of the employees.

As soon as we entered the establishment, I was immediately turned off by the site of the server behind the counter, not only by his disheveled appearance, but very rude mannerism. Instead of being greeted with the usual pleasantries of “how can I help you?”, his silence And facial expression showed immediate annoyance with our presence. The only greeting we received was his bright red boxers that was clearly being shown because his pants was way under his butt. After placing our order, he rudely placed it on the counter and said nothing. I had to request for the Total which he then responded by telling me to look at the register screen Which was broken. Also, he had his phone in his hand texting The entire time. Even though this location is five minutes away from my residence unfortunately I will never be returning due to the service we received.
