Mimi's Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Used to be my go to take out place until yesterday. I ordered food and asked for a small cup of homemade mustard and after i saw the counter woman, who has the personality of Ghengis Khan, add another charge i asked her if she was charging me for the mustard. She said no. My bill seemed high so I asked for the receipt and she gave it to me begrudgingly and i saw a charge for the mustard. I questioned her and she just laughed, I left with no further discussion and went home with my food. At home i discovered i got the wrong order [a cup of egg drop soup] and I called and the delivery guy came over and gave me the lo mein I ordered and asked for the soup back which I gave him. I also told him what happened and that her lying to me was unacceptable. He was embarrassed. I then received a text message asking why i did not return the small bag of crunchy noodles that probably cost 10 cents. I told her to send her guy to pick up the soup noodles and added that her conduct and the way she ran her business was shameful. She then texted me back telling me that the delivery guy was not coming back for the noodles. I might add that I was a regular customer for over 10 years to the point that i did not even give my address for deliveries. They knew me. Hard to believe that this woman runs a business. Good grief. What a poor decision over a small cup of mustard which all other restaurants give away. I will not be...

If I could give none I would. Foods okay better than most but the lady at the front is extremely rude and does not greet her customers my husband and I stood waiting to be acknowledged then was asked what you want? Which is a simple house special fried rice that I always order via phone she proceeded to argue with me on dollar amounts of meat which made no sense. On top of arguing with a customer and rolling her eyes at us trying to buy dinner for our family she pulled out her menu and slammed it on the counter to again belittle us. We left never again will we order from this place...

I tried to order take out from here hoping service had gotten better but after my first canceled the order - the second time I tried thinking it might of been an issue when I put in the order online, one of the employees called me with an attitude because they didn’t have chicken dumplings- when I said pork was fine she continued to argue with me and persisted that I cancel the order.
