Ralphs Italian Ice — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Update 5/20/22 - Went today and am happy to say, rude girl is gone! Hope she doesn't come back this summer. The young lady at the counter greeted me, nade eye contact and smiled. Manager/owner always a pleasant woman. I felt really bad about leaving the prior review, but was just so shocked by the attitude of girl at counter. She was there by herself, so probably figured she didn't have to be nice!

I used to love this location, but after today, will never be going to this one again. The woman who is usually there (manager? She has blonde hair) has always been friendly. I went today and was greeted by this girl with dark hair who looked like I was interrupting her TikTok stardom. She shuffles over to me and when I asked for one flavor, she says "We don't have it." I ask for another, "We don't have it." I asked why those flavors were out. Were they closing soon for the season? I get a shrug and a mumbled answer. I then ask "What flavors DO you have?". She shoves this crumbled up menu to me with all these flavors crossed out. I showed her the one I wanted wasn't crossed out. She rolls her eyes and says "We don't have it." Not once was there ever and "I'm sorry, but we're out of that flavor." If this girl hates her job that much, then go someplace else. I'm sure there is someone who would love to take her place. The job can't be THAT horrible.

There’s just something magical about Ralph’s. No matter where I find one, it always tastes like summer and childhood and that perfect kind of sweet escape.

I had the Rocky Road the other day, and let me tell you, absolute pure joy in a cup. Creamy chocolate, little bits of crunch, marshmallow melting just right, it felt like a memory I didn’t know I missed.

What I love most is the consistency! Every location I’ve been to hits the same high note. You know exactly what you’re getting, and somehow, it still surprises you with how good it is.

You never fail me Ralph. I've been to a lot of different locations and none of them have failed me, including this one.

This location offers a good selection of ices and ice cream, although not as much as the other ones I've been to, but still good! I actually only came to this location twice so far because I actually never realized it was there...so I'll be back quite often. I've only gotten the ices so far and it's AWESOME as usual. It really satisfies my cravings especially on these hot Summer days. I've tried the Rainbow, Mango, and Lemon so far and YUMMY!!
