4/27/18 - Absolutely Disgusted With This Place. I wish they would let me leave 0 stars.
I placed an order on 4/26 at 5:01 with an estimated delivery time of 5:31-5:55pm. 7:00pm comes around and there is still no delivery and no contact from the restaurant so I call for an update. The staff asks for my order and begins to tell me that they just spoke with the delivery guy and the food is on the way. Ok.......
7:35pm comes around and there is still no delivery and no update from the restaurant or the delivery person so I call them again. This time, the person on the phone tells me that he just spoke to his delivery guy and he is on the way if he isn't already there. So I respond with well no clearly he's not here that's why I'm on the phone looking for an update and that I called 30 minutes ago and was told the same thing "the delivery guy is almost there". But still, the person on the other line proceeded to just say he is almost there (mind you the food was supposed to be delivered almost 2 hours ago so I'm not sure why there was no acknowledgement of that fact either).
8:01pm comes and of course there is still no food delivery and no contact from the restaurant or the delivery person. So now I contact Seamless because something seems off. Our rep at Seamless apologizes for the delay and contacts the restaurant directly to get an update on the order. They tell her the same story that the delivery guy is on the way and should be walking outside to my apartment. So she actually sits on the phone with me for 10 minutes while we wait and of course...nothing or no one shows up. She apologizes again and tells me we have the option to continue to wait and we could receive free grub (maybe $10 off our next order at the same disaster of a restaurant) or we could get a refund. At this point, it is 3 hours past when I ordered and when it was supposed to be delivered so my dinner plans with my guests were ruined so I just ask her to get us a refund. She proceeds to put me on hold again to call Sushi Toyko back and to ask for a manager and my refund. A few minutes later she comes back and lets me know that 1. there is no manager at the store tonight, 2. They weren't going to give me a refund and 3. Now they are claiming that the food was delivered and I'm just lying about it.
Yes, I'm lying about the food being delivered when it STILL shows that it's out for delivery and each time I call or Seamless the store still says the delivery person is on the way.
This whole experience was and still is absolutely absurd and luckily our seamless rep was able to help us. She even noted how ridiculous the entire situation was and that she saw we ordered from this place 1-2 a week for the past months (with orders of at least $50 or more).

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered a Classic Vegetable Roll + oshinko ( exactly how I order it at the other Sushi Tokyo locations ).. they brought it out to me with the rice on the outside of the roll having something pink on it & something green / yellow ( not wasabi ) pretty much rubbed all over it and a stench that I figured was some sort of fish and something else. So I informed the guy working there that I was pregnant and couldnāt have raw fish on my food, which never even shouldāve been on a vegetable roll anyways / nor would I have eaten it even if I wasnāt pregnant, and that I didnāt mind paying for 2 more rolls instead of these. He proceeds to take it behind the counter, remove whatever was visible to the eye & bring me back the same plate. All while wiping his fingers on a napkin explaining to me how they ā just removed it , it was just a little fish ā ( with the same hands that had been handling the phone / register ). I asked him to just take it away and I was no longer interested in ordering, he then says ā oh so itās serious ? ā .. no sir, Iām faking my pregnancy & not being able to eat raw fish for fun. I wonāt ever be returning to this location ever again. No second chances with stupidity. Highly recommend the Flushing & Brooklyn locations, check those...

Being one of the only two tables seated at the restaurant it took almost a 20 minutes for a highchair to be brought out to us for my son.
After that it was almost another 20 minutes until someone came to take our order apologizing saying the waitress left and they didnāt know. All the meanwhile walkins that came to the restaurant to order after we were seated were being serviced.
The food quality was awful and their Kani salad was like chewing on rubber masked with a light amount of mayonnaise. When I let the manager know, he suggested adding more mayo.
Iād rather of gotten gas station sushi. At least their price would reflect their quality.
Additionally, they have the audacity to include tip in their bill after having provided garbage service.
This place should be paying people to eat there. Not the...
