Tang's Garden — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Yesterday I ordered food from this place using GrubHub trying to surprise my wife with dinner. And since I'm disabled I made sure to put in the instructions/delivery notes that must to come to door that I'm disabled. I spend over $70 for my order and gave a nice tip (over 15%) in advance. And instead the driver calls me tells I have to come downstairs to get my food. I told the driver that I can't and that they need to come up. Then the restaurant calls me and tells the that I need to go downstairs and get my food or I wouldn't get it. So after getting dressed and preparing myself to go downstairs with my walker and everything. My neighbor who happens to be coming home from work sees me struggling to head downstairs, asks me where I was going. I explained everything to my neighbor and they decided to go for me and get my food because they didn't want me to go. So now after everything, I was horrified and humiliated. The fact this restaurant forced a disabled person who is homebound go downstairs and get their food because if I didn't go I wouldn't get my food and take my money is disgusting. And all they said we never go upstairs in buildings. Honestly if you offer delivery services you shouldn't...

Placed an order through Grubhub. The order was confirmed by the restaurant and then I received a text stating it was on it's way. 20 minutes later I get a call from Grubhub telling me that the restaurant tried to contact me so they're canceling my order. I told them to call Tang's back because my phone was in my hand since I placed the order and I received no phone call or anything. Grubhub calls me back and said they canceled because your address is too far. If that was the case, why confirm the order? It should've been canceled as soon as I created it. Or that restaurant shouldn't even be an option to order from. So I call Tang's for further clarification. They say its 3 miles to and from AND no tip so we're not coming. Wow. It is legit 2.2 miles and a 9 minute drive to and from Tang's according to Google. So because I prefer to tip drivers cash is really the main reason. Thanks for this experience, my first and last time attempting to do business with them.

Customer service sucks…Only certain things are okay to eat from here. Prices are way too expensive!!!! The delivery takes long to show up sometimes you have to call back a couple times and they just say “he on his way” that was almost an hour wait … There was a time when I ordered and sat here waiting on the food, when I called them it was no answer next time they claimed they tried to call to deliver my food but never did.
