The Clubhouse — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Love this local spot! I've been there a bunch of times and never left disappointed! Catch a nice day to sit out back. Often, live music is playing early evening hours, and with the water backdrop, it's relaxing. Can get crowded, and kids are welcomed, and since they have a sandbox, kids tend to play there, so keep that in mind.

Service has been great! Gabby is one of our favorites, although they all really work hard.

Love their food. My go-to are their meatball appetizer and jerk seasoned steak skewers with rice. All their skewers are great! I've also had their pizza flatbreads. Fig and prosciutto one is my fave!

Drinks are always on point! Strawberry Mojito is my favorite choice, but they have a great list of other mixed drinks and beer selection.

They only accept cash!!! ATM on site if needed.

Overall this is a good place to come and enjoy the outside by the dock. The ambiance is very summery and enjoyable. Live music when I went which was a bit too loud but great nonetheless. Nachos were ok- the tortillas are not homemade. The burger tasted as if you grilled it in your backyard, which is not a complaint. Lobster roll in the other hand...I would say you can skip that. Food was good, so was the service, but the parking was horrendous!!!! No place to park and the nasty people on the streets, make sure their cars are parked so you u can never get another car in Won't be going there again. Sorry Get a real parking lot or rent out space for parking from the boatyard. Obviously since Sandy the neighbors don't want cars parking near their homes. I'll go to Freeport for waterfront or Smiling Jacks...
