The Sweet Peace — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Let me start by saying that this place is absolutely fantastic. Our wedding venue sources their cakes from The Sweet Peace, so naturally, we had a lot of exposure to the planning and operational processes exercised by this business. We were taken care of by Allison, who seamlessly guided us through the entire process of tasting and designing our cake, and who was more than flexible when changes were necessary. Not only is the service at this business superb, but the products are as well. We have had numerous items from this bakery, and have been pleased with them all. The cupcakes, and presumably the wedding cakes, are structured very well, with a delicious, flavourful and decorative icing that not only excites the tastebuds, but the eyes as well. I would like to challenge anyone who says they can find better bakery products, such as cupcakes, anywhere near this place! Our wedding has not taken place yet, but it's approaching fast, and we know, with certainty, that the wedding cake is not something we need to worry about. I highly recommend The Sweet Peace! Allison, the owner, is so sweet. I do recommend calling, not emailing her. When we sat down to go over our cake, she was very helpful and drew us a clear visual on what our cake would look like, how big it would be based on our guest count etc. I feel like most bakeries that are included in venues give you a certain amount of options to choose from, but she was very open to making our cake what we wanted. She gave us mini cupcakes of all different cake/icing varieties so that we could do our tasting at home and even gave us some more just to eat on our ride home. We ended up having a white with pink ombre cake and gold flake and choosing a Vanilla cake with Lemon Raspberry filling. It was so good and everyone was raving over it. She allowed us to use a cake stand free of charge, gave us some cake to go home with the next day and also gave us a mini one year...

This is now my favorite place with my favorite people and my favorite baked goods. You could not ask for a better baker for your event needs. My husband and I went in for each of our appointments because our experience at The Sweet Peace was hands down the most enjoyable part of our wedding planning. There are countless things to say about Allison personally, but for purposes of this review I will keep it to business. From the second you walk in, Allison is welcoming and hospitable. You spend some time talking through your vision and looking through photos, and Allison is fully with you. She is attentive to detail and makes everything come to life the exact way you want it. All of this is leaving out how perfect the cake tastes.
